I have nearly 5 months of no porn AND no masturbation. I am rebooted.

I feel like a 23 year old should. It started at age 16 when PIED, social anxiety, brain fog started to majorly impact my life, and happiness. Now 7 years later, I'm free and happy.

Sexuality is very important to all of us. It's our right to be able to enjoy it. I and many of you unfortunately had to fight (reboot) for it because of the recent high-speed internet porn epidemic.

So I wanted to say thank you for all the years of support, course I will say it was MAINLY me but your words, encouragement, really helped me out during those dark, dark days.

Thanks again and I wish you all quit this terrible addition, get the women you deserve, and have healthy enjoyable sex.

    Goodbye and Farewell... Blast off!!!!!

I believe it is good to leave this site, when you are rebooted. It is a part of letting go. As an ex-alcoholic you wouldn't attend the support group anymore either, would you? :p

I would encourage you to at least continue to check back every now and again to remind you the dangers of relapsing.

  9. I would, subject to available time, to support other struggling addicts.

But it can also keep you from truly recovering if you always are surrounded by this topic. It reminds you every time that you had an issue and can also bring the issue back. Lets say you are fighting PIED and you come here and read 20 posts about guys who unsuccessfully have the problem then it is much more in your head then it was before.
Also i think many people here (myself included) are addicted to the internet itself and thus it is good to use this site and all others as rarely as possible.

  11. It could… But with therapy to eliminate the original cause of the addiction, it needn't do so. Each person has to decide for himself.
