We are obviously not alone. This is bigger than us but as small as each of us. I wishing everyone strength and determination this weekend. Do not yield!

You're doing great @hollyman Weekends can be tough. Fill the time with activities, be around other people if possible. Do not do the things that you're familiar with leading down a relapse rabbit hole. Literally just go for a walk if that's what it takes.

 

Sending you some extra encouragement on this Saturday. Be vigilant in what you desire later, not what you desire in this moment.

 

23 days clean. Feeling quite free of Porn imagery, fascination, fantasizing, etc. They are not needed, ever. Urges with wife and desires to have sex/ possibly MO ate still a challenge.

I'm not married but I am in a 5-month relationship and I will attest that the longer I abstain from M the better the relationship in ALL aspects.

How are you feeling?

 

Thank you. I've described a scenario in my journal of gradually prolonging abstinence with her in order to slowly get there vs. shutting off the switch. This far I've gotten some okay streaks abstaining from sex, but these also led to relapse. I'm okay to about 15 days with out her, then it's an issue. Still 2-3 sessions per month /10 or 15 days abstinence is pretty healthy if not too long. I am not pursuing her daily but about 7/8 is ideal for me. Not for her it seems with our current relationship status, environment conditions, external factors etc. Kids, parents all in house, it's a mess.

Thanks @Espi1971 you did reaffirm though what I believe from the stories....giving us a break there will bring us closer. A deep rooted fear is that shell be gone forever. Of course many men likely feel that.
