It's been a while since I quiet porn ( about 2 years) and the benefits have been unparamounted!

Since I quiet porn I have become more productive, I have accomplished so much in so many aspects of my life, stopped thinking of myself of being dirty and disgusting, therefore it has giving me a higher and stronger self-esteem.

Still cannot believe the precious time of my life I wasted in such degrading, unrealistic and disruptive behavior.

After reading other Fapstronauts and reflecting on what helped me succeed, I think I found what worked for me.

About 12 years ago, I got really busy with P and MOing, then I started to date my wife and even thought I had some failures here and there, I wasn't able to attribute my ED to P. Those years I took ED drugs on and off. Then my wife got pregnant and that distraction took me away from P for a long time. Sex was great, erections were consistent and strong, libido was through the roof. There was a time we were doing it almost every day and I loved it. She rarely complained, because I always made sure she would reach an orgasm.

Then, I don't know what got me into the cycle of watching P again and that is when my erections started to suffer, my level of sexual pleasure diminished until I lost it. About 2 years ago, I found Your Brain On Porn site, which opened my eyes. After reading and reading, everything made sense. Growing up the elders would tell us to the teenagers: DON'T MO, because you get addicted and then you won't be interested in women or you won't get hard. Believe it or not, those old men were right, because in my teenage years, I got magazines and had days of 3 or 4 PMO. Then, when I had my first sexual encounter I failed.

More or less, 2 years ago, I decided to quit P, after consistently dedicating about 2 or 3 hours a day. The first months were very difficult, but luckily I had traveled abroad for work, so that distracted me so much that P was forgotten. During these 2 years, here and there I have watched some P for maybe 30 mins or less, but then within 2 or 3 days I have bee able to realized what I was doing. My flatlines have been consistent every time I got into P again.

Now reflecting on my accomplishment, it is very clear to me that the various trips abroad for a prolonged period of time have been crucial. During those trips, I have been away from my computer and with limited phone usage. There was internet, but the speed was so slow that just to upload a FaceBook picture is painful. Being outside of my element has been a continues challenge to my brain, because everything is new and I have to learn new things constantly. And the survival mode in such rudimentary environment has made me forget about all the banalities of the first world living. In addition, a more fluid social interaction, with plenty of family time, friends and being in the outdoors has cleared my mind. In a few days, my nocturnal erections and my morning woods all had come back. Even the thought of a woman's stomach had giving me an erection.

So, if you are struggling to leave this vicious cycle of going back to P after a few days, I recommend to travel somewhere away from your norm. If it is a different country and that requires to learn a new language, that will be even better. Your brain will be so distracted and the stimulus overload of a new life will surpass the sick and self destroying cycle of watching P.

    Good luck my Fapstronauts!
