Alright folks let's get some talk going in here. I think it would be cool to get a compendium of helpful quotes going.
So I will try and kick this off. Some of these might seem a little goofy.

Alfred Pennyworth: Why do we fall sir? So we might learn to pick ourselves up
Bruce Wayne: You still haven't given up on me?
Alfred Pennyworth: Never

"Keep your stick on the ice." -Red Green

"Never give up, never surrender!" - Jason Nesmith

"@clarkgregg What advice can you give someone who feels like they hit rock bottom?
Welcome to where every badass has been to RT @chauntel123" -Clark Gregg

"Goodnight all and remember, if you're trying to give something up, be it ciggies, meth or Cadbury Twirl Bites, take it one day at a time.xox" Simon Pegg

"Remember, I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together." -Red Green

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference." -This is used by most twelve step programs. (Reinhold Niebuhr did the original long form)

"He never understood. You surrender after you're dead." - Lan(Hey I can make parallels to sword fighting if I want to.)

“It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till. What weather they shall have is not ours to rule.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien

That is all I have at the moment. I'm mostly doing broad quotes, because religious ones could get a whole thread on their own.

You're welcome! Here are few more.

"Take life as it comes. Run when you have to, fight when you must, rest when you can."
-Elyas Machera

"There is one rule, above all others, for a man. Whatever comes, face it on your feet."
-al'Lan Mandragoran

These next few are from C.S Lewis, they are long but exceptionally well thought out. They are all from an article I read(I try not to link to things in case I look like a troll.). These deal directly with the perils of lust so if you are operating on a hair trigger today tread carefully.

“Lust is a poor, weak, whimpering whispering thing compared with that richness and energy of desire which will arise when lust has been killed.”

“We use a most unfortunate idiom when we say, of a lustful man prowling the streets, that he “wants a woman.” Strictly speaking, a woman is just what he does not want.

He wants a pleasure for which a woman happens to be the necessary piece of apparatus. How much he cares about the woman as such may be gauged by his attitude to her five minutes after fruition (one does not keep the carton after one has smoked the cigarettes).

Now Eros makes a man really want, not a woman, but one particular woman. In some mysterious but quite indisputable fashion the lover desires the Beloved herself, not the pleasure she can give.”

“For me the real evil of masturbation would be that it takes an appetite which, in lawful use, leads the individual out of himself to complete (and correct) his own personality in that of another (and finally in children and even grandchildren) and turns it back; sends the man back into the prison of himself, there to keep a harem of imaginary brides.

And this harem, once admitted, works against his ever getting out and really uniting with a real woman.

For the harem is always accessible, always subservient, calls for no sacrifices or adjustments, and can be endowed with erotic and psychological attractions which no woman can rival.

Among those shadowy brides he is always adored, always the perfect lover; no demand is made on his unselfishness, no mortification ever imposed on his vanity.

In the end, they become merely the medium through which he increasingly adores himself…After all, almost the main work of life is to come out of our selves, out of the little dark prison we are all born in. Masturbation is to be avoided as all things are to be avoided which retard this process. The danger is that of coming to love the prison.”

copy-fapstronaut3.jpg I like this quote, I think it applys particularly to people who aren't aware of NoFap, or are aware of NoFap but dismiss it, probably due to the shock value that comes with suggesting not only that PMO is bad for you, but that a life without it is better.

fapstronaut.jpg And I like this one because it aims to make the point that not only is the 'P' unnecessary but once you are at an advanced stage is your development you won't see the need/have the urge to 'MO'

It does feel like we are unplugging ourselves from the great 21st century lie that all out answers are online. The more I look the greater I see that we are within a prison. We just need to realise that no matter how nice the prison is its still a prison.
