    What are some of the signs of a flatline you have had? For how long did it last.

    detecting flatline is clear as water. if you have a dead dick (pardon my french :D ), then you´re in flatline. flatline is the total lost of sexual desire. it´s pretty common in recovering porn addicts.

    flatline comes and goes, for me usually it starts around day 4/5, and goes on until 25/30 days. however there are reports of flatline appearing again, and fading away afterwards, so it´s impossible to determine when it´s stops.

    i guess, until the brain has totally rewired, flatline (or any other withdrawal sympthom) can appear.

    Feeling a bit tired and foggy this afternoon, the morning went well though, i guess my dopamine and serotonin aren´t high enough to endure all day. this is also caused by the bad sleep that i´m having in the last days. yesterday i think i got dry eyes for watching the mobile for too long, and was really hard to fall asleep. today i´m gonna reduce screen exposure.

    "Here are some brain changes that show up in all addictions, whether substance or behavioural:

    4. Dysfunctional stress circuits,[114] which can make even minor stress lead to cravings and relapse because they activate powerful sensitised pathways.

    To sum up, if these neuroplastic changes could speak, desensitisation would be moaning, ‘I can't get no satisfaction’. At the same time, sensitisation would be poking you in the ribs saying, ‘hey, I’ve got just what you need’, which happens to be the very thing that caused the desensitisation.
    Hypofrontality would be shrugging and sighing, ‘bad idea, but I can't stop you’. Dysfunctional stress circuits would be screaming, ‘I NEED something NOW to take the edge off!’

    These phenomena are at the core of all addictions. One recovering porn addict summed them up:

    ‘I will never get enough of what doesn't satisfy me and it never, ever satisfies me’.

    Recovery reverses these changes. Slowly, the addict relearns how to 'want' normally."

    Withdrawal Many people believe that addiction always entails both tolerance (a need for more stimulation to get the same effect, caused by desensitisation) and brutal withdrawal symptoms. In fact, neither is a prerequisite for addiction – although today's porn users often report both. What all addiction assessment tests share is, ‘continued use despite negative consequences’. That is the most reliable evidence of addiction."

    Have doms in the chest from yesterdays workout(it took about 12 hours for them to appear and I like it, cos it smells like progress ;).You know the saying -'No pain no gain' and I think it has a lot of sense for weights training. only it's not always easy to get this once you've been training for a while. Done meditation ,prayed and worked out. It's nice to see steady progress without blowing yourself backwards by engaging in all sorts of harmful habits.:)

    I think it's better if we live both one day at a time and 1,5 year in advance, for some goals are too big for us to acomplish in one day.:)

    Checking in. Today I have been low energy, had an irritated mood, hard to concentrate, etc. My sleep was pretty good, but I have been slightly stressed lately and maybe the combination of PMO withdrawal + stress is the cause of these things, who knows. :)

    1. Physical exercise. (Done; a medium long walk was enough to get me tired today.)
    2. Meditation. (Done; 10 min.)
    3. Study about reboot. (Done; podcast with Gary Wilson.)
    4. Eating in moderation. (Average; maybe one candy too much after dinner.)
     
  11. Thanks! It’s exactly what happened! I thought I can do it bc my initial motivation was harmless but it was as you said … it folded out as usual
    But I watched no video, obly pics and stories.

  13. That is my goal! To have a flat line. I mean I don’t need it of course I can live without it but if you have it it means that you did hard mode for a long time.
    The same with wet dreams: I would love to have them! Can’t understand why some rebooters curse them.

    By the way @RiseToGreatness flatday on day 5 seems very early to me. But everyone is different oc. I think I was never in the flatline although I’m also having times where I am absolutely asexual, but soon after, morning wood or some other sign of libido reappears.

    Basically, I meant aches in the muscles following weight lifting(bench press) which are sometimes called doms( short for delayed onset muscle soreness)and appear another day or sometimes after 2 days following exercise. I recon they are a good indicator of good workout after which you can expect improvement upon recovery.

    things don't seem so interesting anymore, usually accompanied by a longing for choosing comfort instead of discomfort. It lasts for as long as you chose the comfortable choice in my oppinion.
