    No porn is great!

I am studying success techniques, and one is simply "Don't miss twice." When you slip, don't fall twice. Get up and get going again immediately, don't make it a big relapse.

I definitely agree that we need not call ourselves Nazgul, Orcs, or Uruk-Hai. I always wondered why we didn't start the journey as Hobbits, it would be more positive and encouraging.

I also agree with the first and third points: I think shortening the journey is fine, and as for mandatory hard mode, I think there should be one too. I keep my counter indicating P-free days, but I follow the LotR journey based on PM-free time, not just P. I just keep track of them separately because I want to give myself full credit for being free of P, but I am quitting both, or I would not be in this fellowship.

    Let's do this!

Due to my Yesterday post ( some stuff about ronnie colmen) , @Slider8 and @Tilopa , Our great brothers are scolding . We have lot of
argues about that bodybuilding sport. we are friends bro. we can't fight with PMO evil individually. Because Lot of Companies in p*** industry every day provides power to P evil. P evil gives power to M and O evils too. when joined lord of the ring challenge couple of you and another brothers motivated me to reach this streak.

I didn't think wisely before I posted it. please give up this and be friends. I am sorry. Due to my post, you are scolding .Please be friends forever!

Brother , In my opinion you are a married person. Having sex with partner isn't wrong thing. I am a single person. Having sex with someone before marriage is not good thing. All of men should leave p and M with their life. But I think having sex with partner will improve relationship.
(note that : I don't about these things heavily . but this is my opinion)

Always You and other brothers motivate me to reach this streak. you always gives us important informations by your post.
You can do it brother. We're all going to make it brother. ZYZZ always watches us brother:emoji_muscle::emoji_muscle::emoji_muscle::emoji_muscle:

I think the aspiration of 500 days is distant for a reason - if you can reach that then you can live your life without PMO, it’s meant to be a challenge after all! If our aim is to be indefinitely free from PMO then 500 days is nothing compared to the years if not decades we can hope to enjoy without this addiction.

I’m nearing 180 days and I still struggle with the urge to relapse, this is an addiction I’ve had for over 11 years and I don’t think 150 days is enough as a ‘distant’ target - I would personally vote for keeping the target as 500 days.

  6. I was just expressing my point of view regarding bodybuilding. Sure it's not a good thing and not a good role model as you stated. It's just insanity like for example porn addiction. I have a thing for being understanding and compassionate even for the people that do me wrong and are confused.

It was not a personal attack to you. I wish you well brother. Live long and prosper.

  7. Getting married
My girlfriend just told me she wanted to live with me and have a family together. I told her yes but after I start with my studies.
Let's see what happens these next months but this is how it looks things are going.

Missed a couple of check ins while busy working and running races.

@RiseToGreatness, I agree with the majority who have chimed in here that the 500 day target is worth keeping. I made it 128 days on my first real attempt, and after falling I can barely seem to make it a week now. So I don't think 150 days hacks it. Even six months is not epic enough to really feel like a LOTR-level accomplishment. There are plenty of other challenges out there that run for 3-6 months, or even a year. But this is a journey through Mordor, and 500 days really does tell you something about yourself. If you want to adjust the early stages to make them more motivating or positive, that's fine. But keep this challenge long and aspirational rather than making it easier. I'm right with you on this chaser effect, but I need to recommit!

We live in our head and even our understanding is limited by the ideas we consent to as true which is somewhat marvelous and ridiculous at the same time.
Last year we had a brother who was talking about being on sr for 3-4 hundred of days and in his posts he reported having sex and still kept writing daily about his semen retention which made me feel some disgust and puzzled me with the self-perception he had and when I looked further back into the past I saw other people behaving and thinking under the influence of their accepted concepts of themselves rather illogically and being blind to the things that were rather obvious from my perspective. I think we all in the way behave illogically and are blind to perceiving something which is obvious to others due the way we are. Good thing is that tat way is not fixed.;)

    Day 12.

Realising that every moment is an oppertunity for self-improvement is huge, and it makes me very excited to keep on going.

Thanks man, very inspiring documentary. It’s scary how porn is affecting every generation, and how many people are affected worldwide.
It is great that there is more and more attention given to it from the media, porn should be taken much more seriously.

Sorry to hear about the relapse @RiseToGreatness. But learn from it, and you’ll be stronger going forward!
As for the changes: i like that the journey is so very long, because you are by then almost certantly not going back to porn. It might still happen ofcourse, but it is less likely than 150 days as others have pointed out.

I think the self-love and -respect is great, and the name changes are very welcommed. Not starting the journey before 15 days in, which is were you really need motivation, is not the best.

But it is a great challenge, and its popularity is a testement to that.
Get back up again brother, and lets continue fighting!

    Day 177

Confidence has sky-rocketed today; hosted the services at my church and finally sensing a direction of where God is leading and growing me, a welcome feeling after not feeling like myself the past few weeks.

No urges, and excited to reach my next milestone in just under a month.

    @RiseToGreatness
I have a couple thoughts on your words.
First, I'm sorry for your relapse, but I want to remember you that those 141 days were days of huge progress, so you're not going back to zero, but restarting through something solid already.
About the 500 days, I totally agree with what the others companions said: it has a difficulty factor that makes it great and epic to achieve, so I think it shouldn't be changed. But something that maybe would be nice to do differently is to talk about how personal the rebooting is. Surely, someone with 10 years of addiction won't have the same reboot as someone with 1 year of it. Maybe, one might destroy his ring at day 150, but the other one will do it just on 500 days. What I want to say with this is that we might be loosing track of the real progress while focusing on the progress of our level. I did it several times.
The thing is that we don't really know exactly when we actually "destroy do ring", in another words: the moment our brain is finished healing. And it also have nothing to do with urges or temptations, since we've tasted the thing already, we'll be damned to the rest of our lifes to deal with this enemy inside of us. Recovering from the addiction, in the contrary, is related to not giving in those temptation, but, with a strong character, deny it.
In conclusion, I think that the tracking of the progress should change a bit to something more personal and customized. Maybe making quests out of urges or something like that, maybe wining something after getting over a difficult time. Of course, we would have to count on everyone's sincerity, but we all have enough maturity to be honest with ourselves.
