You go through phases in life man. A young beta who keeps their head down and studies hard etc... will be the influencer and leader of the future ( & therefore a v attractive mate to women ). The young alpha who flaunts it and gets the early attention mostly let's it go to his head and evolves into a narcissist attracting people with negative energy and generally crashes and burns. Life is the ultra of ultra endurance events and those that play the long game always prevail. Those of us who act impulsively end up sliding backwards rapidly and the only way to recover is start the detox and build those blocks of confidence up one by one with patience. If you stay on this path I guarantee you you will be among the leaders of the future.

    <<<<Day 0 again
    sadly another relapse...

    reflection got these reasons:
    • I felt ill the whole day _ low energy and bad sleep
    • could motivate myself to go outside and do my routines as well as intense exercising (calisthenics) but felt rly dizzy the whole day.
    • I got some bad news early which meant I lost a bit of money on a wrong decision.
    • I accidentally deleted some very important files and so I was very angry about loosing so much time and energy(which I put into these)

... then the pmo -addiction-voice talked to me: You already lost this day and you feel very bad so why not use it as an excuse. And then BAM I relapsed. this wasnt as obvious as I write it here but the thought in my mind was(and is often):
"its already bad so now you can relapse (cuz you aint loose much)".
Problem is after that I feel even worse and it brings only joy for a moment. I know that but I still relapse. And this was my main reason all the last times. How do you guys handle this??? I almost never relapse on days I felt good and got a lot of things done. Could use some advise^^

    Greets!

You hit the nail on the head - it all boils down to this - how do we manage the hard times. Normally it is not even the bad things of that day but that the distress they cause, however small, may remind some part of us of the pains of past traumas which then really have us looking for the eject button (P). Same thing happens when all is good incidentally and you don't have anything to complain about because after a while of no more superficial drama , the deeper traumas have the space to reveal themselves and this again causes us to flee reality like a bat out of hell. Thing is that we are running into hell, not away from it, because there's pleasure at its doors, and we'd prefer that to facing embracing and healing our deepest wounds.

    Checking in Fellowship Friend's

    22 Day Free of PMO.

Challenging day overall, I started off work quite upset. I let an external circumstance upset me, it's frustrating when at times you work with incompetent people. I did manage to remain professional within my digital communication but it was challenging (It was a high degree of incompetence by someone higher up). Urges did arise as well, likely to quell the anger. Apart from that, I did have some nice interactions with other co-workers and helped "save" the day in a sense. Trying to focus on the positive aspects of the day.

Emotionally management and mastery seems to be the most difficult thing to achieve. No kidding why addicts find it difficult to stop their addiction and make sure they do not replace it with another addiction. Regardless, I aim to achieve this and I will continue to regulate and learn as I go.

    Stay Strong!

22 days – You enter the cold Misty Mountains, the Hithaeglir.

    Day 6

    @IveWastedMyTime
This is of course the most challenging time for us, the times we feel down and unsuccesful and inadequate. This leads to big urges as we try to use porn to make us feel succesful, which our brain neurochemically thinks we are because it thinks we are reproducing which is a strong instinct in us.

To overcome this, i think practise self love when i feel inadequate, to feel better and then having lowering the urge. You can just go on youtube and find guided self love meditations.
They work very well for me.

Get back on it brother! You can do it.

    Day 29 - Elf
    [IMG]

@Redemptionisrequired I'm in again! I will be here as long as I can fellow brother :) Climbing the ladder with you again. Sad that you fell from the last one. I remember telling you this in my dream here when you were around 60 - 70+ days I believe. Not sure if you remember that. I was shocked and surprised from your last fall because I thought you were going make it in the 400+ days. I guess it was stress? Any way, you got this!

I guess I will give this one more go or couple of more tries because I was kind of convinced in a way. So I will be climbing the ladder with my buddy Ūruz including a some fellow Fellowship friends here as well. I have reached short milestone if not my requirement so I will give this challenge another couple more tries here on Hard Mode. Not sure if I will check in every day or so. But for now I will.

Onward to Mount Doom to destroy my PMO ring once more!

  18. Socializing releases a lot of dopamine and that's counter to staying detoxed.

You made good points there. I do have few points to add, but definitely not right now. It might lead to back and forth exchange about a topic that's not the priority for me at the moment. I need to build some focus here.
