Check in Fellowship Let´s welcome our new member: @Mr. Sinister The following brothers have upgraded and reach places in Middle Earth. Congratulations!!! @Gandalf the White @jaberwaki - Uruk-Hai @BrotherHal - Bree / Eriador @crazyhorse11 - Anduin River A huge wave of support to our brother in need @Gallade_Templar . Yes bro, sometimes falls happen and sometimes happen out of the blue. But don´t despair, the Fellowship is with you and we know you gonna make this throught . Onward!!!! Have a great day brave Companion!!! Continuing with easy_peasy, page 20. “For in the dew of little things the heart finds it’s morning and is refreshed” Kahlil Gibran A fleeting feeling of security is all that’s needed to get through a rough spot in life, but will your desensitised brain be able to catch that drop of destresser that a non-user’s brain is able to use? Dopamine flooding acts like a quick acting drug, falling quickly and inducing withdrawal pangs. Many users have the illusion these pangs are the terrible trauma they suffer when trying or being forced to stop. In fact, they’re primarily mental since the user is feeling deprived of their pleasure or prop. 4.1 The Little Monster The actual chemical withdrawal from porn is so subtle that most users have lived and died without realising they’re drug addicts. Many users have a fear of drugs, yet that’s exactly what they are, drug addicts. Fortunately it’s an easy drug to kick, but you first need to accept that you are, in fact, addicted. Withdrawal from porn doesn’t cause any physical pain and is merely an empty, restless feeling of something missing, which is why many believe it’s something to do with sexual desire. Prolonged, this feeling becomes nervousness, insecurity, agitation, low confidence and irritability. It’s like hunger, for a poison. Within seconds of engaging in a session, dopamine is supplied and the craving ends, resulting in a feeling of fulfillment as you whiz down the water slide. In the early days, withdrawal pangs and their subsequent relief are so slight we’re unaware of them. When we become regular users, we believe it’s because we’ve come to enjoy them or gotten into the ’habit’. The truth being that we’re already hooked but don’t realise it. The little monster is already in our brains, so every once and a while we take trips down the water slide to feed it. All users begin seeking porn for irrational reasons. The only reason anybody continues using porn, whether they’re a casual or heavy user, is to feed that little monster. The whole conundrum is a series of cruel and confusing punishments, but perhaps the most pathetic aspect is the sense of enjoyment a user gets from a session, trying to get back to the sense of peace, tranquility and confidence their body had before becoming hooked in the first place."
Hi @BrotherHal, if you are not already on some sort of structured program I recommend you try one of the below, which are all free: - the e.a.s.y.p.e.a.s.y book - removed the full stops and look up e.a.s.y.p.e.a.s.ymethod.org/ - Scadanavian Bob's breakdown of the weeks of PMO detox - https://pmoflatline.com/no-pmo-for-a-year/ - Freedomfight.org I believe you have to follow some sort of structure to break the relapse structure for good, but the book above may be the most direct way to sever your urges for good
To all the orcs @Gallade_Templar @dharana @C12345 @aeburbt @ULYSS3S @MarioVargas @Mr. Sinister @Valier(|[{<=>}]|) , @Samurai_God , etc...- you are my heroes because you have taken the most difficult step and come back to @RiseToGreatness 's forum. You have picked yourself up off the canvas time and time again. You have summoned your willpower and you have landed the hardest blow of all to get back on the wagon - This requires strength, the strength that you are demonstrating here, your strength. Many are those who just threw in the towel and are now stuck in their own personal hell til the day they die, but not you! You will not lie down. Your resilience is outstanding! I applaud you and am proud to be in the same fellowship of you!!! Keep going brothers!!!
Day 73! I saw and felt for a glimpse some God being awaken... it was pretty awesome seeing that old primordial magic again... but I'ma go to sleep now for tomorrow there is still work that needs to be done! Keep strong! awaken Gods! It is happening now!
Thursday check-in Today I have: - meditated, three minutes - prayed - eaten healthy - worked on graduate work/pursued goals/dreams - worked on foreign languages - gone on a walk Still have to: - lift - take cold shower - read about recovery from PMO With PMO kicked out of my life, I am gaining everything.
Day 7, Back among the Uruk-Hai and happy to just be on another streak. I have become sexually active again for the 1st time in over a year which is nice. It will be interesting to see how a partner will aid in my journey. She is supportive and aware of my P addiction and my intentions to keep from O. School is off to a great start and I have been maintaining my running regime. Happy to be a part of this Fellowship.
Day 21 Great progress, very little temptation whatsoever today! Keeping busy and occupying my mind really does seem to do the trick, I best not forget it! This is the longest I’ve gone without PMO for 3 years, and I’m incredibly pleased; I think it’s time for a pint at the Prancing Pony!
5 days clean. Really conscious about what I'm spending my time on recently. Bingeing YouTube and playing games isn't fun anymore. I've been putting off the important things until now. I'm ready to build my dream life now!
Hey, @RiseToGreatness I reset my "global" counter, just so you know. In all honesty I did not fail the guidelines for this challenge, that is no P and no M. This day is my 147th day within this challenge. If it is okay with you I shall keep this counter for this challenge. For the global NoFap site I have to reset my counter. This is based on a decision within my relationship, the wishes of my wife. For the purposes of brevity, our (my wife and myself) reset criteria are more "strict". That is all that I will share. To all, you are vastly more capable than you think! You must reshape yourself, free yourself that box you were formed into by society! Onwards!
