    Day 197 no PMO. Had a lot of desire yesterday so had sex with my wife to try to get it out of my system. Last night had a lot of lustful dreams so I guess my attempt to “get it out of my system” didn’t work. Started today with the Bible so hopefully it will be a good day. Good luck out there guys. This quitting thing is complicated sometimes.
  2. It hurts but ... I played porn games .. so I'm back to Nazgul state. (Will set the counters straight later)

    I realized an important aspect: I want to do good regardless of what others think of me or what happens in my surroundings. I want to be independent and act accordingly to my own moral compass. But the reality is different! The more I've been watched (or supervised or instructed) the higher my efforts.
    What this means is that I'm pretending. I'm pretending more than I really am or do.

    Of course it's normal that instruction or supervision improves your work ethic and so on. It's also true that I CAN do some things good on my own. For example my activities in this forum are completely self-directed.
    Nevertheless I do automatically less when I'm on my own. I even pretend that I would work on something important, while I'm for example just writing in the forum.
    In the end, people can see what my results are (or are not!) and the only one I'm fooling is myself.

    I believe the solution is partly self-organization and structure. And practice. But I also need to change my mindset. And that needs more than making up my mind what I want to (should) do and how I will attack the tasks. It's the engine in the background, partly unconscious and driven by many learned behavioral knowledge.
    To put it simply, my main motives must be dedication and a vision, not comfort and affect.

    There is a story of two very advanced yogis that went to search teachings from this master. The master told them that they were not ready and they should go and do semen retention for some years and then come back, after some years they came back. The master told them to do more years of semen retention and come back again, finally they came back and this time the master gave them teachings.

    To hold a long streak without a spiritual intent is simply not possible, as you can see in thread a guy just made of 3 years streak and now wants to come back to MO. A very long streak means a man, who has been able to see beyond sensual enjoyment, almost beyond his ego. A normal person cannot do this without going crazy or creating unnecessary tension in his body and mind to simply hold a streak. This is why long streaks are rare.

    If you want simply to get over PMO addiction and its effects like weird fetishes, PIED, HOCD. Then sure 90 days streaks, relapsing and coming back up are a way to go.

    Conclusion: for really long streaks you need a more pure intent a higher goal that is not focus on sensuality, sex. Other wise it is just torture.

    I would like to join please. Currently on Day 0 due to a relapse yesterday (so I'll technically be on Day 1 later tonight). I'm hoping that maybe using my imagination to picture this all like this cool LoTR-like fantasy journey where I'm destroying the "PMO ring" might actually help me in a weird way but it will also allow me to better sit with the urges because I'm not trying to completely distract myself from the urge technically either.

    Anyways, I look forward to improving my life alongside all of you :)

    I think this is a good idea. To use this story line and your fantasy for your recovery. But at least for me, that alone isn't enough. So I'd say: don't forget the real world, with its triggers and so on.

    Day 7

    Life is still crazy, and it looks like it’s not going to stop any time soon.

    Our apartment as an empty shall of the home we had because we sold or gave away most of our stuff before the move. We have 6 more days here, so if everything would work out I will start my new life in Germany as a hobbit (after two or three days).

    I’m happy right now. We’ve tried to say goodbye to all of our friends so I’ve seen all of the people I love a lot more in the lest couple of weeks than I’ve seen in the least year or so because of Covid and simply because of adult life. other people is really the key to earn back some of the stuff we lost to porn.

    I’m pretty scared that I wound find a new “community” in Germany, but I know that after the boring normal stuff I know I should do, finding new real life friends would be my top priority.

    @Are-we-there-yet? I think it’s great that you have changed your environment. It’s the best way to break your old habits. I don’t know enough about what you study, but from everything I’ve seen in my life. most of the time. Keeping a normal sleep cycle is much more important than any one homework assignment or something like that. Deadlines are hell, but if you would treat your sleep as something that must happened and should never be compromised, I promise you that 1) you would have more energy in the long run, and uni is a marathon and not a sprint. 2) you will find a time to do other school stuff.
    BTW, what are you studying?

    @garmenclyde I’m so sorry brother. Each one of us has a demon to face. And porn games sound a really tricky thing to fight because the “novelty” part of them is so good that you stay hooked on the game itself and let yourself fall for the fact that it is porn. My demon is erotic books and stories and I’ve fell hundreds of times because it was just a really good story. Don’t do it anymore. There are millions of games to play that are not porn games. From the moment you entered the site of the game you’ve putting yourself up to fail. Look at site like these just like any other forbitten sight.

    And yes, just thinking about those stories really gave me a shitty urge right about now. So writing in this form is not a perfect thing to do. I’m going to get up and move away from the computer for a time. Stupid brain.

    228 Days Check in!
    Forces of PMO still gives me urges, but they stay there for a very short time and pass on fast.
    Never forgetting my daily journal affirmations and daily disciplines.

    Voice feels a lot richer and powerful and generally feeling more able to take on things.
    Getting a sense of proudness.

    Started going in Business University.

    Increased my vitamines and supplements to keep me alert and energised - flatlines makes my energy low.

    Not even having time to go back to PMO and i never will.

    Occasional wet dreams occurred after every 88-90 days and now i try glutamine and more D3 vitamine to overcome Post orgasmic illness symptoms.

    I relapsed today didn't watch porn but I must say I fapped but never really knew it until it was over. In my 10 day streak I was usually avoiding urges but when a urge really came I didn't have a plan . What do you do when a urge arises. THe good thing is that I am not going to binge watch because I know how I lost a few days in total isolation and remorse , when I let myself binge watch . Day 0

    nop, i eat 1 banana everyday, and never noticed any link to urges. in fact, bananas didn´t stop me from having a dreadful flatline for 1 entire month :confused::confused::confused:
