Hey, you guys are awesome, remember that! As an non-user, I really urge everyone to listen to these words carefully:

This porn matrix, don't you think it wants you to feel as if you are being fed dopamine bursts? I elucidate this, how can you be fed something that feels like its depleted afterwards? And in this, how can something that feeds you also deplete you? Arm your minds, because that's a convenient bias, a flawed heuristic, an unwise conflation.

Porn can't give you pleasure, it force feeds it down your throat. You don't even want to masturbate, do you? But, you do it anyway, correct? Yes, it is a burst, but there is not a single gain in it. Much like the steak, it wants you to believe you are well fed, when the soul, body, and mind altogether are never satiated to begin with; it's the engine of porn that hijacks your physiology, with compulsive masturbation being the feeder that forces experiences of pleasure, just enough for you to taste the idea in itself, only to then have it siphoned in the end, a greedful, procedural recycle if you will. In one word: optimization. Optimization of scarcity, optimization of the carefully fabricated illusion, optimization of your dopamine receptors, senseless optimization. You're valuable, is all. It's stolen so much from you already, so be honest with yourself: You not only think it'll let you experience pleasure, but gain it as well?

There is light after each relapse, in your case. You are not as ignorant as you think, but you happen to chase its hollow bliss. You see, your brain wants something your body knows you already have; subsequently, the body follows suit through the depletion caused from siphoning pleasure through force, siphoning the very innateness of your being. You cannot force something that you innately have, much like kicking a dead horse that's already dead. You're not a dead horse however, you're alive, you're conscious, and thus the societal paradox ensues. It's only mental strain, mental taxation, a drawback of the means by which something is achieved; and what is achieved: lethargy, depletion, anhedonia, anxiety, stress, prolonged boredom, depression, and of course guilt (have no shame, for you know better now). I tell you this, you must gauge it through endeavor. Certain people compensate for this by edging, but you already know where that leads to. At most mental strain, time for improving your life needlessly wasted, and of course, siphoned pleasure, a lonely orgasm, isolated from anything meaningful or divergent.

Think of this now, You force something that's quite slippery. And because of this, pleasure slips out of your own, clinched grasp. Now think of water, think of the ebb and flow of life. That is what true, authentic, natural pleasure is. You must graduate from the matrix's delusion, and speak for yourselves. Gauge pleasure through other means, meritable means that compartmentalize work and effort to make room for pleasure, such as exercise, drawing, communal pursuit, expending subgoals that make room for tangible goals. Means and ends is the name of the game. If you rely on the relief of pleasure as a means to relieve the urge, do you really think that you'll be relieved in the end? In retrospect, Emmanuel Kant asks you this, and so have many others, including myself. Many do not just ask, but say it so, that whatever you resist, persists. Yesterday i receive great news for my sexual health (HIV negative) and also go out with my friends all afternoon but i havent had sex and the day before i had joined a sexual group (trans women group) because i was a bit stressful with my job, so this trigger that I started to masturbating until i cum. Don't get discouraged though, you had great streaks, you are not back at the beginning, that's for sure. This is just a small setback, until you are back in action at full speed:cool:

Really well said, and thank you for your contribution, your information is appreciated. We need more intellectual discussion regarding this subject, and this is not just about streaks, it is about the improvement in every aspect of inner self.

Good advice for newcomers, as well as reminder for more experienced ones. The dynamics works as well for every day life:
I like the idea in the video below, especially in emotive circumstances. If what we're doing isn't working for us, it's probably because most people get scattered or stagnant over not knowing what else to physically or psychologically do. This was my issue. However, I fixed this by relying on the innateness of self-knowledge.

The small wins were based on what I knew PMO did for me, even after relapse: It depleted me, there was an urge I followed suit to, and Affirmations have helped me in the past.

Now, here's the cheat code I relied upon when coming to terms with realigning my heuristics, especially at my current point where I've aligned psychological relapse with what occurs in physical relapse so that the urge follows suit for me (it'll help to personify our past actions as the, "little monster"):

I keep on building up and reinforcing my identities through the art of anticipation. A YouTuber guy named Andrew Huberman talks about how dopamine releases are triggered by the anticipation and pursuit of rewards, not just the reward itself. When it comes to SGP, the reward in this case involves quitting PMO for good & achieving other noteworthy goals instead, with the emphasis not only on the reward of freedom, but the reward from anticipating that freedom during each urge now that we're aware that the urge mimics the dopamine flooding of physical relapse without us needing to do that. The "little monster's" relapse/our psychological relapse is simply subconscious dopamine flooding, mirroring the dopamine flooding of physical relapse.

The "little monster's" relapse is also a sign of our own dopamine withdrawal, which we should know only happens after physical dopamine flooding. Given that physical dopamine flooding is translated/reframed as subconscious dopamine flooding (the urge), either we experience dopamine flooding without actually relapsing or we are reminded of our growth over the urge through dopamine withdrawal, without relapsing. It's the "little monster" dying, not us anymore. Because it dies in place of us, we have more time to pursue our real goals, follow up on our recovery, and let the "little monster" come to the same revelations as we have through neuroplasticity, as we also gain dopamine through anticipation whenever the urge ("little monster") mimics PMO's orgasm (stress-guised-as-pleasure, you know, the thing that's less likely to occur when enjoying your partner's sexual presence). We already know that anticipating release using physical PMO never works out for us, so eventually the "little monster's" relapses follow suit with our own discovery of physical PMO's uselessness.:

"Did you know that you can use the placebo of the growth mindset to mimic innovation in your life by mindfully applying and rephrasing affirmations?"

"The goal would be to restate the original affirmation for a heuristic (e.g., SGP Mindfulness Model's mantras), while consistently contextualizing the heuristic's meaning until it's satisfactory. Your contextualizations of its application is proof of understanding."
