The New Habit Challenge

    Wow! This is a great idea guys! There are a few habits I want to implement in my life! Here are mine. I'm going to focus a bit more on the art side of my life to get things going.

    Every morning, I will draw something for fun: 0/21
    Every night, I will do a thumbnail master study for 1 hour: 0/21
    Everyday, I will make a life drawing study for 30 minutes : 0/21
    Every night, I will do a drawing master study for 30 minutes : 0/21

    Those are the ones I can think off right now.

    Hi @Cleaning Colin I've had better days. My life is very complicated right now.
    Except for the physical side where I have huge changes and improvements (lost of weight, lot more energy, better performances in sport and running,...), the rest of my life is a complete mess (finance, relationship, family,...).

    Writing this, I realise I never complain or talk about my life to anyone... I have a very lonely life since I'm working at home. Thanks for the opportunity to complain ;-)

  7. Hello Straight Edge. I work from home too, and it can certainly get very isolating. I value the contact I find here for that reason. I used to use social media far too much, and in a compulsive way - funny that I never added it as a new habit here - but I've been off Facebook since mid-July. I've also found a very good and healthy outlet in Darebee, the site I'm using for all this exercise, which has a very nice, positive social side to it.

    I'm sorry you're feeling in a mess, Straight Edge. What you're doing here can only help you turn things round I think. Have you got anywhere else you could look for some social contact? I see you're a runner - perhaps you're getting good enough to think about joining a club? If you ever want to have a complain then please just drop me a message - I'm always up for a moan, and I'll share mine with you! :)

    Thanks Cleaning Colin. I really appreciate. Funny: I did it to. I removed the FB app from all of my devices and quit for 21 days. I didn't mention it neither. but, like for PMO, I had a relapse in september. Like PMO it is not in the same frequency than before, but it is far too much. I go on FB at least 5 times a day... Since I'm in a new 90 days challenge, maybe I should try to quit FB too. moreover, I really got the impression of a huge waste of time and of compulsivity.

    Concerning social activities, you're right. I don't really feel the need to meet new people, but maybe I should go out of my comfort zone. Nonetheless, it can't be in my running session: I love to run at my on pace in nature and need to feel boundless.

    I'm going to be starting again tomorrow. And it won't just be NoSugar this time.

    New habits I will be re-starting:

    1. NoSugar
    2. Eight Glasses of Water Per Day
    3. Drum Practice
    4. Meditation
    Carpe diem, brothers and sisters.

    Morning exercise - 22/21 (I missed a day, but unavoidably so as I had a office work all day)

    Walking - 6/21 (best 49 - last reset 5)
    No news - 00/21 (last reset at 19 - curse you American elections!)

    Glad you're trying Darebee, @StraightEdge, I hope you have fun with it. It's been a really great thing for me. Maybe see you round the forums there.

    I love this idea. Good to set a goal. Since I am taking a course that I want to do well on, "For the next 21 days, I will wake up early and work on my course."
