The only factor that irises don't really like is hard, clay floor. They can tolerate a lot normal water, as lengthy as their bed empties well. They hate having their legs wet! Get 'em in the Ground Here's another position where bearded eye lights shine - they don't like to be absolutely hidden in the floor. When you prepare your new flowerbed, dig down just a few inches to loosen the floor. You can add a few handfuls of organic issue like timber chips or Beard Czar particles, but don't go crazy. Irises like floor that's a little acidic, but they won't complain if it's not perfect. Just perform the timber particles into the floor. Place your bearded eye lights in the floor with the little side origins underneath, spread out perfectly. Cover mild bulb about ½ to ¾ of the way with floor. Yes, you will keep mild bulb a little bit sticking out of the ground! And yes, they really really like this. Having some of mild bulb remain out of the floor allows the spot to absorb direct sunlight from both the leaves and the top of mild bulb. Water your bearded eye lights, provide them with a few times and do this again. When I'm establishing a new eye bed, I typically normal water twice a week for the first two several weeks, and after that, just when I think about it. Yes, really! Didn't I tell you that irises were simple? Servicing Once Your Iris Flowerbed is Established Servicing for your bearded eye lights is even simpler.
