NoFap: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Fapstronaut. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go on streaks longer than anyone has been on before!
Welcome to the Star Trek challenge. The rules are straightforward.
RULES
1. Post that you're in.
2. Post as often as you are able. Ideally at least once a week but more is fine. Stay committed!
3. If you are already on a streak, start from where you are. If you relapse, post that you have been demoted and start over.
4. Copy/paste into your signature. "(CURRENT RANK) IN THE STAR TREK CHALLENGE
5. Support other users as best you can. No name-calling or otherwise inappropriate behaviour. We are all here to uphold the values of the Federation and help each other out!
6. While you can follow whatever personal rules you like for the streaks (hard mode, monk mode, etc) I am personally following the rule of; no porn, no porn subs, no deliberate triggers. Accidental triggers, accidental orgasms/ejaculation (wet dreams) are allowed.
Now here are the ranks. For the sake of clarity we are using the ranks from The Next Generation era of Trek.
UPDATE: I know the way the days are sorted is a bit weird. I did it this way to try and link every rank to a reasonably exciting number, but it did mean some had to move one way or the other. I dont really have an issue with someone changing their rank on the day their counter will update, even if it hasnt yet.
RANKS
Day 0: You are a Borg Drone. Assimilated by the Porn Collective. But there is some free will left in you yet!
Days 1-7: You have been freed from the Collective and are onboard the USS Fapstronaut as a civilian. Life is better but you have to wear silly clothes.
Days 8-14: You enlist in Starfleet and pass the entrance exam! You are a cadet.
Days 15-30: After much hard work, you graduate from Starfleet Academy. In a stroke of good luck, you are assigned to the ship that saved you from the Porn Collective. You are now an Ensign on the USS Fapstronaut!
Days 31-45: Exceptional work in the line of duty awards you the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. With this new rank comes new responsibilities. You are expected to assist in the education of those lower ranked than you and help give them the chances you have gotten.
Days 46-60: You are now a full-blown Lieutenant. Before long you may be captain of your own ship! In the meantime though, you must run head first into danger and be constantly injured by whatever alien is attacking the ship this week.
Days 61-75: As Lieutenant Commander, you are one of the highest ranking personnel on the USS Fapstronaut. You've come so far, but the sky's the limit.
Days 76-89: You have been promoted again! Great work Lieutenant, or I should say, Commander! Many hundreds of away missions await you!
Days 90-180: At long last, it has happened. You are a captain, and are getting your own ship! When you reach this stage, change your signature to this:
(CAPTAIN OF THE (INSERT SHIP NAME HERE)) IN THE STAR TREK CHALLENGE
Fantastic work Captain!
Days 180-364: You have climbed as much as one person can climb. Or so it seems. You are an Admiral. You may have gotten this far, but does it mean you can afford to relax, and let the alien influence of Porn get to you?
Of course not. Back to work.
Days 365-∞: You have ascended beyond mere mortals. One full year of NoFap grants you membership into the Q Continuum. Just be sure to use your newfound Godhood for good!
Well that's it. Who's with me? Set phasers to stun (porn subs). Set a course into that nebula (of freedom from porn). Warp 9.
