  4. Day 40 completed. Busy lately so haven’t checked in as much.
I got to keep my conviction strong since I know in the past I could relapse for no good reason. Even when busy, my brain could get tricked easily. No streak is safe, just have to carry on with simple conviction every single day.

Day 253. Checking in. Had a crazy erotic dream last night. The mind is trying to fight back. I respond by not responding, I calmly shrug it off and continue my morning. It is just my karma, not a consequence, just what I built up over my days.

  10. Checking in.
Had a few rough days with my mind being unruly with fantasy thoughts but I did not give in.
If you let the urges be, they eventually let you be.
    Have a nice weekend everyone.

Hello! My name is Rushil, and I am a 20 year old male. I used to be addicted to porn; however, I have completely quit for the past 6 months, but I have realized that quitting porn was a part of it because some of the other parts were that I am addicted to YouTube. The dilemma that I am facing is that as a computer science student I have realized that I need YouTube, and a broader sense the internet, as a resource to continue my goals and aspirations as a future software engineer. How can I regulate the time that I have spent on YouTube and quit watching YouTube videos about movies and games. Also, I am confused about how to learn sexual transmutation as a beginner with little meditation experience because there are a lot of YouTube videos that don't explain that well. One final note, how can I improve my time management and focus as well as my common sense? I appreciate all types of advice.

  15. Track and limit your time spent on youtube. Use Rescue Time or other software for that.
Decide before hand what you want to watch. Kill reccomendations. Remove sections of youtube that are distracting with element removing browser extensions.
Learn to meditate. Sam Harris's waking up app is good for that, you can find other resources as well.
Focus on your interests, goals and relationships. Use your energy and vitality for healthy, fun and productive activities.
Read Daniel Kahnemans thinking fast and slow book. Research critical thinking skills.
Go through this guide for more: https://80000hours.org/career-guide/how-to-be-successful/

That's all you need. Implement, implement, implement.
