  8. Day 3

    Positive:
    • half of the time I did what was most important. I focused on the chores and didn't allow myself to digress
    • I'm reaching out to friends and family, not because I plan to be more social but just because it comes to my mind naturally. And I didn't even notice until now
    • I did some little actions - useful but not necessary - which before were only on my mind (again without planning it)
    • I still do much exercise and a lot of cold showers
    • Since I'm frequenting this forum quite a lot I've had some good exchange with some of my fellows here and feel more in contact with the community

    Negative:
    • somehow I stopped after doing only half the work and suddenly found myself again deeply in musings and procrastination
    • I sit around at home a lot, using the internet and structure gets lost. Indeed this is the main factor for my procrastination. Unfortunately the forum is also one of the places where I spend too much time (acceptable)
    Conclusion:
    1. always good for the soul to recognize the positive.
    2. in general the simple formula "stop pondering and do something" could work wonders.
    3. internet at home - I hope I can handle it better soon, otherwise I'll have to shut it down again. Right now I like the conveniance of it and that it brings some normalization for me. But the new normal shouldn't be the old normal ... it could help to focus more on this issue and stay accountable about it.

  11. The hyped-up mood is gone. I still think I had a bit of a mind shift - a clearance that made me see better THAT I can be without porn and WHAT I have to do for it. But that idea with the penalty appears quirky to me now.
I'm already exploiting my internet connection in a compulsive way. So pmo is just around the corner.
It would be consistent now to just get rid of the home internet connection and stick to the original plan (no internet at home until January). Then the idea to give away my computer would be off the table. Unfortunately I'm not consistent.
I don't want to behave like a desperate addict or like a child. But I have to somehow tame my internet using.

  13. Have you tried porn blockers? They help me. I have simple firefox add-ons that I could disable in a few clicks. But I like them, because they block the content and so remind me what I'm doing. But at the same time I don't feel trapped. I'm in control. They're there because I want them there.
