Banning pornography has already proved to be a terrible move by Tumblr... and for that reason, I am very happy!
Companies like Tumblr and Starbucks can do whatever they want. If they don't want porn in their site/stores then that's their decision. Maybe this will make more people see that watching porn isn't healthy.
I think that's my main issue with gay pride parades. Celebrating anything through sexual degeneracy is destructive to say the least. I can't imagine if they were to ever come up with a straight pride parade where it's just straight people having sex in public, or acting indecently is any shape or form... or imagine if you have women roaming around scantly in their underwear. I don't mean to sound like an old fart, but this is one of the issues with our sex driven society. I don't care of what a person does in the privacy of their bedroom, but I do care of whats happening in public.
I've been to two in my life because i'm a Canadian and they have one like every month. Both of them were hypersexualized. Try walking through saint Catherine st. in Montreal which is known as the gay central... the street is littered with pictured of naked men everywhere, no naked women just naked men. You would think by logic and common sense if it's illegal for a minor to view playboy, and all porn mags need to be hidden from plain view in convenience stores then why the hell would the government not care when something like this happens? If they want to "express" their sexuality then by all means do it in the same sense that a straight person would do it. As in kissing and holding hands is fine, but its not fine to walk around in your man thong while grinding with other men. Whatever happened to human decency
I think England still has some class when it comes to this stuff. Unfortunately liberalism in Canada has gone to a far extreme. It's very common to see topless women with their nipples painted like the Canadian maple leaf during Canada day. I don't even know what the law is here concerning nudity and public indecency.
I've googled what our law is and its apparently not considered public indecently if a women were topless. But yeah i agree with you, i don't understand where people are getting this notion that breasts aren't sexual, or that we need to stop sexualizing breasts. This is something that has been viewed as something sexual since biblical times. Even if society wants to view breasts as something not sexual then they need to stop all marketing companies and porn companies that view breasts as sexual, and then find a way to change our biological component that deciphers between what we find sexual and not sexual. And the answer to this definitely is not to walk around topless as if it isn't an issue
I want to see less porn, but I very much disagree. Social media sites have become public spaces for communication, and should therefore be allowed unlimited free speech accessibility. A standard should be set to where, after a certain margin of growth is crossed, the site becomes subject to legislative jurisdiction. This allows for a check against larger sites from infringing upon free speech and free expression. Smaller sites, thus, would be given free reign until they met this standard.
And, why would it not make sense to be proud of one's heterosexuality? Can't one feel a prideful desire to display one's place in a natural reproduction cycle without having someone call them "daft?"
The day porn is taken off Tumblr is a day of unreality on this sad earth call me Mr. Cripster but yo the devs ain't true.
I refuse to go and check. Is it gone? Has Tumblr purged the porn? I know it might take some time, they might not be able to get rid of it all in one day.
From what I heard tumblr was accidentally flagging it's no porn stuff as porn. It sounds like all kinds of non porn stuff was flagged as porn.
For months Tumblr had been my go-to-site when I used to fap. Happy to see it finally getting rid of the filth.
