Would like to hear your thoughts on this. If you're a naturally stressed person or in a high stress job/relationship and you are doing nofap how do you not "implode".

  2. I can't see the scene because of my porn blocker but I am guessing they where so hyped up on cocaine which is why they could do all the things they did.

Besides you have to remember this is a movie that's trying to make as much money as possible so they might go over the top and a it might have not went down like this.

That movie is definitely a bad influence on people and you could add it in the same pile of diarrhea that the entertainment industries throw out today.

  4. Too add on to what I said we are best of just to ignore movies like this. I take privilege in avoiding movies like this and all the news now because it's all just negative crap and the positives of this world are endless if you chose to see them!!! Let's get it done boys Yeeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally fail to see how this is a negative movie.

Well, I think the guy talking to Leonardo di Capri is making fun of himself. He looks ridiculous. That's a lousy way of getting relaxed. I think meditation would work best.

I didn't watch this movie but some people report it's very motivating and strong. If you guys didn't watch it then it's a logical statement that you don't have anything to say about the movie.

  8. Yeah nothing negative about popping pills doing cocaine being a drug addict and banging hookers. lol but to each his own I won't argue this anymore good day!!

Its a very motivational movie, perhaps one of the most inspiring movies i've ever scene. Yes, it glorifies drugs, alcohol, adultery, prostitution and corruption but that is not the point of the movie. The point of the movie in my opinion is that you can have anything you want in life if you work hard enough, but if you take it for granted, it can be taken away just as easily.

  10. bingo you didn't watch it I don't know what scene he is showing but the whole movies overall message is terrible.

The cocaine rates are high enough as it is we don't nee more movies showing how cool it is to young minds!!

I didn't want this thread to be a movie review, but rather discuss a message mentioned in the movie about using pmo to deal with high stress situations and alternatives to this. I think the movie makes a good point about getting the balance right otherwise you could do more harm than good.

(And the message of the movie really isn't drugs/sex etc. Yes, it shows them, even in a quite positive light at times but ultimately they are his downfall and cause him to lose pretty much everything he worked for. So when you look back at it, they are actually the antagonist of the movie.)

  12. mhmm not the message I get but interesting intake thanks!!!!

  13. I agree. This movie is pornographic on so many levels and warps people's idea of reality, just like so many Holliwood movies. The media also spreads a warped idea of life and reality, encourages people to engage in deviant behavior and all that kind of crap! Dang it!

PS: Its the scene where he's sitting at the restaurant with his boss bragging about doing cocaine and all that stuff.

  14. ok thanks I had no idea which scene he was referring to. Yeah that's exactly how I feel about the movie and unfortunately and one point I actually did like this movie before I discovered nofap and now I realise that movies like this are definitely part of the problem.

You get movies and shows promoting this stuff as cool and hitting teenagers and kids when they are vulnerable wwich makes them think this kind of behavior is normal and should be encouraged.

I used to think the movie is funny but I have changed my opinion on what funny is. What is funny is greatly impacted by a culture group or even with an audience at present.

For instance when I watched this when the main character was on drugs everyone was laughing and seeing it for funny but if you pause and think of some person driving high and like a moron do you think that's funny? I am sure most people would say no.

but change that scenario with something or someone that is popular in a movie setting and show people doing that stuff most people would say the opposite.

how Phycology works is definitely weird and interesting.

It's actually very common seeing talented individuals that have accomplished great things fall into this sort of addictions and still function more or less as human beings, but never to their maximum potential, 100%.
Hanna said it: "I don't do it because I want to, but because I need to" showing he is an addict that needs masturbation to function properly, between other things like drugs.
For a person like him (in the movie at least) rebooting would be a waste of time and a risk because he would need to readjust everything in his life to practice a more healthy way of living, and that can take time and energy, something a multimillionaire salesperson needs like food to stay afloat.

Actually it makes perfect sense. I have written some posts here where NoFap has negative impact on you in the longer run. Actually i never had a girlfriend and i was LESS social on NoFap than before when i was fapping normally ( without porn ) and having sex sometimes. I just relapsed and i actually made a nice phone call to this school asking some questions. Well having too much testosterone ( nofap increases it ) can result in becoming less social and you want to be less around people, vice versa too >> nobody actually liked me during NoFap.
