So I was doing some research the other day for porn addiction treatment plans and I came across this one, which I will leave a link to below. It’s through Talkspace and many of you might’ve already heard of it because they air commercials for it on TV but for those of you who haven’t, its an in home therapy program where you talk to a licensed and board certified therapist via FaceTime or texting.

They now offer a porn addiction program where they match you with a therapist who specializes in these types of addictions and helps you work through quitting. I’ve tried to quit on my own so many times and I always fail, so I’m now accepting that I need professional help to finally quit. What do you guys think of this as an option?

its always better to get help. imho it's good if you pay for it (within your means).
nothing beats a person who you can link up with, better if it is in real life.
    undesirable behavior thrives in isolation.

True, and I feel like I will never kick this addiction unless I get professional help. I feel like I also need help to navigate the dating world as well because I’m 25 and have never dated. I think that’s keeping me addicted too because it feels like such a lost cause to me now seeing as how far behind I am compared to other guys my age.

  4. Seems like a good idea to me. I think I can handle my porn addiction with help on this forum. However for anxiety probably could do with a trained professional.

In regards to the dating problems YouTube is a good way to learn about over coming it. There are literally thousands of videos. Just find a dating coach who does natural game and not pick up lines.

Someone like Stephan Erdman. Or find someone similar it’s easy. The hard part is putting the theory into practice. For someone who struggles with self doubt and anxiety this can be challenging... However it’s worked for me on many occasions over the years. It just takes time to learn and believe in it.

Yeah I think that I need professional help because my addiction has become compulsive at this point and it basically acts on muscle memory now. As for dating problems, I’m considering hiring a coach named Frank Kermit who’s addressed the same issues that I face in some of his materials that I’ve seen, even PIED which I do suffer from. Right now, he’s charging $50 an hour and does private coaching sessions via Skype or phone call. And he’s not a PUA which is even better because I wouldn’t even consider hiring one of them.
