I think anything between 5-20+ years can be considered a long-term addiction

Long-term cocaine addicts tend to experience a similar brain damage and it takes from 6–9 months to more than a year or, in some reports, up to 6 years following abstinence to heal and restore their grey matter volume.

By PMO you mean masturbating while watching Porn or porn and masturbation abstinence? If latter then it's impossible to maintain clean for 1-2 years of p&m&o

PMO = porn, masturbation and orgasm

It is certainly possible if not to consider wet dreams as relapses

maybe... but for long-term addicts without any sexual relief method it's like climbing Mount Everest while being obessed. Some exceptional individuals will succeed but it's kinda naive... we have to pay for our sins but this worries me.
Do you have study for that?

Nothing that's worthwhile is ever easy. Is it humanly possible to overcome this addiction? Yes

No but the less wet dreams you get, the better (e.g., once a month is fine, twice a week not really).

Definitely not. You didn't deliberately seek out porn or masturbate. A wet dream is a natural cycle for normal, healthy males who aren't addicted to PMO. In some ways, it can be a sign that your body and mind are healing and returning to a natural balance.
