Thought about this for a while, now I’m here

I don’t want to bore everyone with a book but think I need to get started with a post about myself to get started.
I think I have been addicted to porn and masturbation “p and m” for a while basically since the end of college. I didn’t start jerking off until I was 15, so kinda late. Didn’t have sex until I was 20, and around that time started looking at p. Was a different time then, very few vids, mostly just looked at pictures and read things online. I had a couple of rough relationships where I was self conscious and almost looked to porn as research. I spent more time on it, and though I have always had friends and a career, I would be lying if I said p and m didn’t affect my day and life. I have had my share of late nights, unproductive weekends and skipping or shorting time with friends and family because I wanted to do p and m.
Anyway, I am on the threshold of my Late 30s and want to feel like this is behind me. I can still function sexually in my relationship and still enjoy life outside of p and m but need to develop another outlet and past time. I hope at the very least to have this forum take the place of the time when I was to watch p and m. Looking forward to feeling more productive and feeling like I have more time not monopolized by p and m.
