I have started hard mode and currently on day 7. I have read here that even looking at nude pictures without M'ing isn't advised as it releases dopamine. But I mean is it porn that affects us or nudity? I mean nudity can be in various forms:
    • Porn: Sexual media
    • Quasi-porn: Sexualised media (video, picture, writings or even audio) depicting sexual or enticing acts using sexualised body parts designed to arouse the viewer.
    • Nudity: A state of wearing no clothing. Generally you find paintings, drawings and photographs of nudity.

I am a designer by profession, so sometimes while browsing works I come across nude pictures in form of art, photography or illustrations.
Before I would M, but now I have started convincing myself that these things will be there. Rather than fantasising about it in a sexual way, I tell myself that this is beauty and douse any urges. Regarding illustrations I also tell myself that this is just a piece of work by brush.

Am I going the right way? Or is my brain fooling me?

  2. The distinction is if you purposely look at non-porn things in order to get the same dopamine hit. Those are considered p-subs (porn substitutes) and have the same affect on your brain as real porn.

    Thanks @Jen@8675309 for your reply.

So looking is okay but starting to fantasize will lead to a relapse?
