feel the same way , it makes me cry , pornography is madness... evill , it sucks you in and doesn't want to let go , in my opinion if you can successfully reboot from porn , then you have the potential to achieve anything in this life. its so hard.

I’m 35 and I wish that when I was a teenager someone had informed me of the dangers of pornography use. At least you are aware of the problem. Don’t try to face it all today. Start with a simple challenge. The 3-day challenge is a great place to start. Once you’ve done that, move on to the 7-day.

I also recommend reading some success stories. They really helped me out in my first few days.

  5. Maybe this will annoy some people, but just to share my experience, switching to a vegan diet has been of huge benefit to me, way less cravings i noticed.

Also, when intense urges are there, breathing deeply or fast (play around with breathing) also seems to offer some relief.

Also excersising. And having a very strong goal in mind, if you dont change your lifestyle, and live same life minus pmo it is very difficult. For me, i had to change many areas of life.
Im no way perfect, and im not there yet at all, but in comparison to a few years back, im doing so much better now

I agree. Very hard. I'm 42 and have PMO'd since I was like 12 or 13. Started with dirty magazines that my dad had stashed. I have to believe it's possible though. I've struggled with bouts of PIED since my senior year of highschool, which is why I'm trying Nofap. My longest streak thus far has been 7 days. Now I'm back to 0. I try to not get too down on myself though, when I fail. Like quitting any long term addiction, such as smoking or drinking, we will be addicts for the rest of our lives. It's just in us. But, we have a choice. " It's like a diet of the mind. I choose not to indulge. " (quote from A Beautiful Mind) That's what I tell myself everyday even if I give in. I know for a fact that there is a light at the end of the tunnel if I wake up everyday and choose not to indulge. There has to be, right? I get triggered pretty easily, and boredom is my biggest enemy, so when I do have a few successful days it's because I've stayed busy and I try to stay away from the house. When I do get through a few days, I feel much better in general, but every minute I'm awake and have access to my computer is a challenge. It sucks. I also wish I had known about the dangers of compulsive PMO at a young age. Coming on here and chatting seems to help me a lot. Just keep trying everyone. Tomorrow will be another day to be successful for me.
