    Hello.
I'm 21 years old now. I found masturbating at the age of 13 and since then i haven't stopped masturbating two or more times a day, even there were times when i did it 6 times a day. I tried to stop it but the maximum i did was 4 days. I don't have any self-esteem in front of girls, I don't have motivation and I don't know what might happen if i go to bed with a girl (have never done it :( ) .

Hey, don't worry, its cool. I have been doing the same for 20+ years and always relapsing. Yet, still had hookups in my high school and college years now married in a not-so-toxic relationship. I remember in high school actually boasting that I can masturbate 7 times in a day. I may have too much self confidence those days. I think what helped me is that I was honest that this was something I do and something that I somehow I could not control.

Over-masturbation even hurts me physically sometimes, my penis becomes so sore that I have trouble urinating, which is a problem, but it doesn't really affect your sex life and performance (except the sore penis part). Healthy sex is about servicing each other, not everything is about penal penetration, there are so many more ways to pleasure your partner. Do not buy in to the machismo crap. Stop chronic masturbating to make yourself feel better, but most importantly be comfortable with yourself to make yourself feel better. Because believe me changing yourself will only fill empty unless you believe that you are better for yourself and not for others.

    Keep fighting comrade.

Hi @Shantavelko, welcome to the site!

You've done one of the hardest parts already, which is admitting to yourself that you've got a problem and signing up on here to deal with it. For me, that was all I needed to finally take this seriously and quit it once and for all. After years and years of just telling myself, "no seriously, this is the last time".

My advice? Don't underestimate this challenge. Think about how much time per week you normally spend watching P, and put that time aside for reading the resources on here, watching videos on the negative consequences of PMO and how addiction alters the brain. If you go into this half-hearted you're at risk of just getting into a rut of saying you'll quit, then failing, then beating yourself up over how you failed.

What have you got to lose? So you "waste" a few weeks getting engrossed in learning how to quit this addiction. Believe me it's a small price to pay for putting this behind you. Best of luck.
