Tools to recover from Porn Addiction

Hi All,


I don't know whether this type of post is previously there or not , but i want to share my contribution to this community.


So Today I want to Share some of the tools by which i am able to block/remove/avoid the porn from my life and they're really helpful ,bear with me because it would be a long post.


So i got into this porn addiction into 2016 when 4g came , previously i was more into youtube , and films . I got aroused by merely kissing scenes from films , and normal intimate scenes and masturbated .Later on when 4G came , i started to open porn sites in laptop , phone and what not .Since my masturbation addiction is of around 10 years , i thought that if I got addicted to even porn i will destroy my life totally .


That's where I wanted to STOP it.


Right now I am completely trying to remove PORN from My life. I followed some steps to recover from it and may be helpful for you.


3 things are the most common sources from which porn/adult videos can be viewed.

1.Laptop - Porn Sites and youtube

2.Mobile - Porn Sites and youtube app

3.DVD's


1.Laptop


1. So first thing is to install k9 web protection tool from this site

The best thing about this tool is

1.A Free tool.(Needs a license key but they mail themselves)

2.Blocks all porn sites .

3. Temporary password only valid for 1 day. (just copy and paste the word , don't try to remember it)

4. Uses Admin Password (

The most important advice - use the password which is most difficult to remember , tip - i used that admin password which i not used previously , and not used it afterwards , and since i have used it only 1 time and long back , it helped me to forgot that password also. If i have to change any configuration settings i use temprorary password and since my work is valid only for 1 day , my work is done.or even if you are strong in remembering the passwords (just tell any child , or any friend to input any other password which he would not tell you))

5.I always use High Category for blocking the websites.

6.Time Restrictions are for all times.

7.If i think some websites are wrongly listed , i put them in whitelist.(be very aware not to put porn sites here)

8.Blocking options you can set it yourself.

9.Url keywords - l used those words which comes in url , like sex ,kiss,quora(for kiss stories , sex , first night) ,mostly these will only block those words which come in domain name , not the total url.

10.Use the Safe Search and other settings as given in below screenshots.








So that's it from K9 .

Now comes the localhost blocking part .

1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. (If Windows is not installed on C:, substitute the appropriate drive letter.)


2. Double-click hosts, and select Notepad when Windows prompts you to choose a program. If you don’t get the prompt, or if the hosts file opens in another program, open Notepad (Start, All Programs, Accessories, Notepad), and then navigate to hosts by clicking File, Open within Notepad.

3. Place the cursor at the end of the last line, which will say something such as “127.0.0.1 localhost” or “::1 localhost”. Press Enter to create a new line.


4. Type 127.0.0.1, tap the spacebar once, and then type the address of a website you want to block. For example, to block all traffic from Instagram, type 127.0.0.1 www.instagram.com on this line.


5. Continue to add the websites you wish to block, each prefaced with 127.0.0.1 and a space.

6. Click File, Save to commit to your changes. Dismiss any warnings from antimalware software, which may be triggered by your editing of the hosts file.


7. Close any open browser windows, and then reopen a browser to test your edits. The blocked sites should not display in any browser.

I don't use social media also as they trigger urges from inside , like instagram models, and i believe anyone rarely gets affected by what you are doing in today's world .So for me fb and insta are waste of time by scrolling the same same feed whole 24 hours . Instead we should become so great that people are making pages of us because of our great work !!


3. Youtube

Okay so this is a confused thing , we can't block it fully as it has good thing also and bad thing also .

So for this I use Adblocker plus(ABP).Apart from blocking the adds what it does is blocking the elements(mainly thumbnails,images).Want to check how my youtube looks like

You will not see images,thumbnails, you will not get aroused , Mission accomplished!!


4.Blocking images - if you want to remove images from any site which can get you aroused easily , follow below steps



Other than that , i have paused history of youtube , enabled restriced mode , safe search in google.


So this completes blocking websites from laptop . (k9 and editing hosts file,youtube,block images)


So we have successfully blocked websites from laptop .


Next comes , blocking from Mobile . (A little difficult , but we will achieve it )


Me - ohh why to block from mobile i have google safe search enabled in chrome , it will not give adult results .

2nd Me - great , let's try it in incognito to check whether it works or not ,

Me - ohh shit , porn is opening in incognito , my streak got break and i relapsed .

Ultimately my bad me found a way to access porn again .


Unfortunately my phone was redmi having MIUI which didn't allow to disable the by default apps , i was frustrated , destroying my life on a good pace , until i found this on play store .An app named - MIUI hidden settings .

which allowed me to disable chrome , and YouTube .after disabling chrome , just uninstall MIUI hidden settings . finally i got free from porn .

So the next question would be which browser will i use if i don't use chrome .

I would recommend using SPIN safe browser which automatically blocks all website related to Porn . 1 thing which i didn't found okay in this browser was i can import bookmarks so as a workaround i exported the bookmarks to html file from laptop and used in file manager in android . my work got done !!


For YouTube app - if i want to watch any important video related to tutorial , i just enable it , i watch it , and again disable it .

Just apply these things in your life , and slowly slowly you'll get to know that you're recovered and performing great in lyf !!


Just try to avoid porn as many innocent girls are put into this(simple equation - more demand , more supply) , they didn't got birth for this , becoming prostitute and getting STD or AIDS and dying) .They have a lot better to do


We need to make world a better place for living .

I know you will achieve a lot in this life , because you are so lucky people that you got a chance to get birth in this life out of so many species you got a life as human .
