Thank you mrmr. I think I need to do more of the reading.
Congrats! What tools and or skills did you use to overcome it. We are all looking to progress and would love your thoughts.
Great 24hrs, I am so excited to be on this road to victory. Yes there have been troubles here and there. But I have come so far and I will make it to the finish line. May god be with you and with me. Say a prayer for me and I will do the same for you.
What your are doing is inspiring my brother, keep going!! Can you share with me some practical tips that really helps you to succeed on this journey?? It be much appreciated! Thanks
Starting my day and ready for a winning 24 hours.
awesome 24 hours today. ready for tomorrows 24.
Thanks @Ted 123 yes I can.
I see tools fitting into three families.
1. Mental, take the time to sit down and visualize your success. I mean what you will look like, act like, talk like.
And do it until you 2. emotionally feel the success.
Look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you are a success every day. (In your posts tell people about your success) You will start to believe and become what you tell yourself you are.
Ask yourself sincerely what you are willing to sacrifice to succeed. Then do it.
3. Physical. Document your resets and start looking for patters, Time, place, device, trigger. Then make changes accordingly. I like think of it like game and to win I just keep trying until I get it right. And victory is eminent.
Great job, I think it really sets the tone to start your day ready to win the 24 hrs.
Tomorrow will be a great 24hrs.
And remember this, if you can make it 1 minute, you can make it 24 hours and beyond. If you commit to always push away every temptation the addiction throws at you as soon as it throws them at you, you'll never have to fight it longer than about a minute at a time. In fact, the addiction usually can't push you any longer than a few seconds when you remember to fight it off. Make it a minute, make it 24 hours. Make it 24 hours, and you can make it a month, and so on.
YES, I forgot. 24hrs is all you ever have to win at and those 24 hrs add up to weeks, months, even years of sobriety.
I'm with you. I'm looking after some way to overcome addiction and it might be a good place to start.
up early, got my coffee, got my will power and got my mind focused on a great 24 hours.
I've finally had it. I'm sick and tired of the relapses and trying to do it on my own. Ive been lurking the subreddit and found that to actually be counterproductive because I would always find myself on the wrong side of reddit.
I want to do this one day at a time and check in somewhere to help give me strength.
This is a great place to start. But as you learn new tools please come back to us and share. And we can all get there.
Heck YES! Victory in the mindset or the minds eye. The rest will follow it. I love that you START your day with positive power!

The tool I share with you is to look yourself in the mirror at least once a day and say to yourself. “I can do this” 3 times, “I will do this” 5 times, “I have the power” 7 times.
Look yourself in the eyes and convince yourself. If you don’t believe it today you will if you put in the time.

How can you relapse after 41 days? Isn't it easier after all these days? That's kind of scary if you can relapse after all this time.
