We mechanically feed
Pride, lust, and greed
Envy and gluttony
Resentment, laziness, and anxiety
When are we going to put a stop
To the rot ?

 

Awareness

Moment after moment
Hour after hour
Continuation brings
Power

 

Caught Unawares

A shallow grave
With a trapdoor into
An abyss
It’s not much to look forward to
Is it?

 

Suffering

One thing is certain
Ignorance gives birth
To craving and aversion

 

Lost Joys

There is no satisfaction
When lost in distraction
An unquenchable thirst
Always comes first

 

Work

Will we abandon laziness?
Or will we continue to indulge in
The craziness
Welling up in an awareness
Shrouded in the darkness

How badly this mind
Wants distraction

Going round in a daze
A monkey in a cage
