Triggers and urges

    So I'm at day 9 of no PMO right now. Everything triggers me lol. I basically have urges from when I wake up till I go to sleep. I've been discovering lots of good methods for dealing with urges and triggers and wanted to share them with you guys.

    #1 best solution of all time- Cold ass showers, really cold, for 2-5 minutes. Turn on the hot water afterwards and note how amazing it feels... this is a metaphor.

    #2 Go outside- Just change whatever you're doing drastically. Get in your car and drive around till the urge passes, go on a walk, go to the gym, go talk to girls.

    #3 Practice mindfulness- see if you can take a step back from the urge. Question it. Ask how its serving you. Don't get angry at it, just allow it to be.

    *Most Important*
    #4 Reward yourself- You're literally starving a neural network in your brain that you've been conditioning for a very long time. It's going to hurt and feel depressing at first. Find a healthy way to reward yourself. For me its making smoothies or playing the drums.


    #5 Exercise- Great way to channel your energy and feel better all around.
