[Triggers] How to quit flatline faster?

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Apr 9, 2017.

  1. Hey,
yesterday I was in my girl apartment making out, but after 15 minutes I couldn't get it up. Like it was half-hard. She was quite disappointed and me - quite shamed. After checking my state, I think I entered flatline - I couldn't get it up, no matter of what I think. I'm not even trying to touch my weenie. It's like "Caller is not responding.". So I started again working out to bring a big level of testosterone, so next time I can do better. Do you know any methods to quit this state faster? I want to have fun with her and make good memories.

    Cheers!

You do not take a cast off of your broken leg to try to win a race!
The most important thing is to let it heal well. Flatline is an important, although somewhat slow and dull part of your reboot. After a successful reboot, there will be opportunities, and you will be able to function properly. Don't risk long term success on a quick fling. It is not easy to wait, but victory is worth the wait. You can use these weeks to talk, share, open up and get to know each other better.

  3. Yeah, I thought about it, but we already talked, shared and open each other for more than 18 months - and there came a time to more intimate things. I don't want to let her down - she's not the woman I want to worry. Don't even want to think to herself that she's not attractive or something! Had one flatline for about 2 weeks earlier, that ended good after massive workout, good eating and going out. Is this testosterone related?

    BTW cool nickname.

Testosterone is probably involved. We were over excited by the dopamine rush and backed off on testosterone production until we just went limp. It takes a while to resume normal production. Good living probably helps that, so we work out, eat well, get enough sleep, and try to avoid stress. I have thought that between the loss of dopamine and resuming the normal production of testosterone, we get to enjoy flatline.
It sounds like she is special. Is she special enough to let her know how you are healing and how it is going? You do want someone special when you finish your reboot. If the goal is normal sexual relationship, it requires relating, and the best way is to do it with the one you love. I can't imagine the extra stress of trying something with someone we don't care for and doesn't care for us; it would just be a game of trying to impress and increasing the risk of failure.

I started off here with a different name, but, before I was half way through my 90 day reboot, I felt like I needed a more positive nickname, one that showed that I had turned a corner and was enjoying feeling the changes in my body. I didn't quite feel like Fonzie, but I felt closer than I had imagined I ever would again.
You can only change your name once every 90 days. You might consider it, when you begin to see the end in sight; it doesn't look like such a long journey as you round third and start coming in home.
