Hello, I’m 16 and I’m at the height of high school. I’m Latino and I constantly find myself grouping people based on whether their white or black. I often find myself more likely to hang out with one race over the other.
I’ve found that I feel bad and terrible when I do this, but I can’t help myself. I’ve tried to stop. Can anyone offer some advice to look past this?

It's perfectly normal for races to be drawn to certain races, particularly their own (romantically and in every other way). You're clearly not a racist.

Discrimination is a defining factor in human life, for better or worse. You shouldn't guilt yourself about something so inconsequential.

It's normal to prefer one race over another. It's evolutionary.

As you gain world experience you'll become more comfortable associating with different races.
