    Hi!

I'm currently struggling with an acute "flatline" (very low libido after trying to quit porn). Please offer advice and motivation! I'm 21 years old, so luckily this has happened to me whilst I'm stile quite young, so my brain is still quite plastic. What is scary is that I don't know when I'll be able to regain my libido. What are your experiences with flatline?

    Thanks!

Don't stress. This is par for the course of recovery. Everything you are experiencing is giving you amazing feedback about what you need to learn, but sometimes we just need to let it run it's course in order for us to take notes from the lesson.

Try and be at peace with whatever it is your body/mind/emotions are throwing up at you. Try and remind yourself that it's all just temporary and that your whole system is simply adjusting to the mental/emotional/physiological changes that are taking place. That they are unavoidable. THIS IS RECOVERY!

The fact is, what you are going through, is one of the most challenging aspects of recovery and without being disrespectful to women, but maybe, just maybe, it's similar to the monthly challenges some women face. It's full-on and not easy to make sense of and that's partly why time is the greatest educator of all.

If you feel low, depressed, apathetic, uninterested, bored, lethargic, or whatever challenging emotional state you experience, then either just try your best to embrace it, or fight it, or go out and force yourself to do something extremely physical. Just do it! Find that power and determination and just do it.

I did that recently when I was two days into a new weight loss regimen. I was low, I started to drink and act out just like normal and five beers into the downfall and just about to engage in a marathon pmo session, I got up, got on my bike and rode for 20 miles at high power for 30 minutes. I killed it. Burned up about 1500 calories and felt F--king GREAT for it!.

Now, 41 days on from that evening, I am into a major weight loss program where I have lost 14lbs and have ridden approximately 1,000 miles.

I'm not saying you have to do that, but what I am saying is that there is no better remedy to all our problems than:

    ACTION!
