I used to do this. For me it was related to insecurity. Being proud of your body including your bits is fine. Does it matter if it sounds "gay"? Just celebrate your manhood. However, if it becomes an obsession then that is not healthy

 

I have this exact same problem. I catch myself naked in the mirror, point at myself, and wink and nod in an approving manner.

 

You are right. The penis is the source of intense, incomparable pleasure for a man. So it should be treated with respect and used primarily to transfer that pleasure to a woman (or man if gay) Dogs are not designed to chase their own tails but to chase cats...if you get my meaning

Well... I mean, it's hard to say if this is necessarily a problem. Since you say you're 100% straight, I assume you're not turned on by other guys.

The habit of looking at your pecker whenever you have an erection is not a problem to me at all. I do the same thing. Of course, it's completely vanity for me.

I have the opposite issue lol. I'm not attracted to myself at all and it makes sex a bit harder to get into. I'll switch with ya. I'm somewhat build and average looking. I just don't do it for myself lol.
