All I know is over my last 3 years of trying to block porn, artificial sexual stimulation, using multiple different blockers, having multiple different configurations, all I know is my blocking configuration at this present moment in time is hands down better than any other configuration I have ever used in terms of not being able to access porn and artificial sexual stimulation, but still being able to access other things online.

If you don't like pluckeye then that is fair enough. But don't post saying it doesn't work etc, the delay is a bad idea etc. The delay is probably the best idea of any blocker, and pluckeye is helping a lot of people, even if it is not helping you.

I understand where you're coming from though. If I was in your situation, if I needed to always be able to download a program, and that program always needed to have internet access right away, then yes pluckeye wouldn't be anywhere near as effective for me, I wouldn't be able to have the configuration I have at the moment.

But the thing is not everyone needs to be able to download all these programs, and needs the internet to work on them right away. Many people can seriously restrict them self, to the point the internet is seriously inconvenient for them, and the people that can do this and are willing to do this are the people who get the most use out of pluckeye.

But just because pluckeye doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it is not working for a lot of other people.

  2. so that means even you are constantly adding and removing. Maybe you will say the same after 3 years.
That is why I contacted you to see if I was doing something wrong. Is it my configuration thats the problem or anything else. From your experience if you were making changes to pluckeye at the beginning and now you have already allowed whatever you wanted.. please clarify that. If you mean that pluckeye is for the long term with limited usage then I agree with you. If it is okay please give the main point of your configuration : have you enabled nhb, or have you blocked 'bad sites'.txt and allowed 'good sites.txt', or if you have enabled doh. It would definitely help
    thanks
For Example i want to add time limit of 20 mins for youtube.com from 10-17. Can it be done in pluckeye ?

I use the default pluckeye configuration. So these are in the configuration

    block application/mp4
    block application/octet-stream
    block application/vnd.rn-realmedia
    block application/vnd.rn-realmedia-vbr
    block application/x-bittorrent
    block application/x-iso9660-image
    block application/x-shockwave-flash
    block application/x-silverlight
    block audio/
    block audio/x-pn-realaudio
    block image/
    block video/
    block port 322
    block port 554

So all images, videos etc blocked by default. But then I add all the sites I don't have a problem with to my allow list so I can access the images and videos on these sites. I also block specific sites I have a problem with.

I have a copy of my pluckeye configuration, which constantly updates, so I am able to just import the configuration back into the command line if anything ever goes wrong with pluckeye, so if my configuration ever got wiped etc.

    I then use other features

    feature nhb
    feature noexpedite
    feature nosync
    feature safe
    feature system

    I use a 7 day delay. I don't have admin privileges.

So do you mean between 10am and 5pm you want a time limit on youtube of 20 minutes, and once you exceed that time you want youtube to block? But then after 5pm you want to be able to access youtube as much as you want? If that is the case I am not entirely sure if pluckeye can do that.

Well , it blocks unallowed browsers , so it is a complete block

No, there is nothing forever with this type of compulsion , even after years.
Blockers will only diminish your frequency of relapses over time but the real change should be done in the emotional area , possibly with strategies to substitute cravings and to manage worst days .

No, there are some applications or extentions that do it

I'm still relapsing due to third applications like Telegram , and some bugs my Android where i could download Telegram.
Recently 2 porn blockers on my phone stopped working .
Youtube for me is a real problem, there are many ways to view it without youtube.com itself...
so recenlty i flee specific words to block it

  6. You are wrong. It is not forever. See about the org posted in the thread. See their youtube videos, don't waste time looking at other material out there. Bro, don't think it is permanent.
Tell me the details. Maybe I can help you. Which android/phone do you own ?
Use blocksi extension... it is really good.
But there is a delay added to it. If pluckeye would block those browsers permanently..... like in older version.. if you allowed msedge.exe . it would still not work.

  7. I tried blocking it with cloudflare, but it doesn't use DNS. You could block the IP addresses but it is not a safe option. You could use adult block/pure web to block communications app....
you could block teleram in laptop. so it is no problem there.
For android I think its better you install apps using apk only and uninstall playstore. In that way you will only install apps when necessary.

Blockers are just tools , you cannot install a blocker and say "Oh my addiction is over now" , No , it can't cure an addiction , it can only help. because sometimes you will have opportunities to relapse and you have to use discipline and learn to control yourself . Stop arguing about blockers because different people have different opinions/experiences on blockers, just create a new thread if you want to......

Open regedit , go to the reg folder and right click on permissions , advanced , add a person ,
    put everyone
    deny - Delete/ Write owner/ etc
apply and then block the window with CT

    Works even with CMD

If you do it for one folder the subfolders will get the same properties so I am thinking of doing this to the main folder ( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE) but I dont think it will work

  10. do it once. your browser will not read policies, and no rules will be enforced

  11. do it. you will be forced to reset

  13. So you denied permissions to regedit.exe or any key?
    What is the reg folder?
There are so many alternative registry editors out there. If you use the blocklist... others are blocked

I denied permissions to the reg key , which kind of looks like a folder

  15. Can you specify which one?
You need to disable registry editing tools also. You need to add a value with registryeditingtools
Download o and o registry editor and block this using CT permanently. Whatever you do you could still edit using that.

Ok , but you cant edit the Values with cmd + I dont think many people know about the different registry editors and it should work with them too ( I haven't tried). You cant depend only on CT

  17. You didn't say which key you were protecting specifically.@Infidel.48
Powershell is used to edit registry. Obviously other registries will work. If you disable registry editing tools and you have to do something else with gpo ( ask xXsinnerXx ) other registry editors won't work except O&O registry ( I don't know why, but you could still edit using that). Other registry editors are blocked using that blocklist
If you use registry guard nothing can change your key values. You could make it permanent if you don't want to make changes.

can you try something in android. If you want to use telegram... use it and deny storage permission using TestDPC and see if images and vides are being stored ? If you can't see images and videos then you could continue using it.
Also if you think that using password in lockbox could lead to a slip, unlock the app during 5:30~6:50 in the morning for 5 minutes only so that you could make changes within 24 hrs instead of waiting for long days.
I think scheduled unlocking is better from my experience. Because if you want to make changes, you will unlock the password and wait for days. If it is unlocked during the day then it is fine. But if it is late night or evening then you are f***ed.

Hello everyone, I am planning to invest my money into a new phone and I was wondering how can I make the right decision.
Should I go for IOS or Android?
Which smartphones are best for achieving 100% porn-free environment and are the easiest to set up?
    What is your top choice?

    Ty in advance :D

  20. In my view both are good but ios will take time to configure. If you are buying android buy android 11/12 only with an in built app locker. The inbuilt app locker is very important. If you want a cheaper end try oneplus, samsung or Nokia.
