Will the images that appear to be 'embedded' in my brain as a result of repetitive exposure to porn over the span of several decades eventually
fade away/disappear? Will the urges follow suit as well? I have tremendous hope in that I will overcome, but want your input please. Thank you.

So, when would you suggest pursuing an intimate relationship to be okay when you're recovering/fighting porn addiction?

Is pornography exposure associated with persistent-genital-arousal-disorder in males that you know of?

    1) Persistent physical arousal in the genital area
    2) in the absence of conscious thoughts of sexual desire or interests
    3) associated with spontaneous orgasm or feelings that orgasm is imminent

Could these symptoms be associated with PMO habits? Are they reversible? I have these sensations, not all
the time, but am conscious they are there a great deal of my day, regardless of where I am. They can be
accentuated if I am exposed to a sensual scene in a movie, a picture, in other words, triggers. I can also feel
these sensations even when I am at work, in my car, even when not thinking about sex/sexual images at all. I wonder
if anyone else out there has these? I want it to go away, perhaps even with medication. Thank you.

If one manages to go without powerful fetishes for a certain amount of time will the object of the fetish eventually become non-sexual to the person with said fetish?

Is there a proven relationship between compulsive masturbation/porn use and loss of pleasure in actual intercourse. Can prolonged abstinence really return sensitivity and pleasure? What if the behaviour was engaged in for three decades? What else can help in recovering sensitivity and counter delayed ejaculation or inability to orgasm with a female partner?

I've been a part of the NoFap community for about a year now, and although I've made about 3 attempts or more to quit masturbation, my last streak lasted about a month and now not masturbating has become more of a habit and things have become much easier. As I've been self-developing in the meantime, I've read articles about semen retention but I still have not found the answer to this question - Is masturbation unhealthy for you? I've asked people before if not masturbating was unhealthy or not and most have said that excess sperm or semen is released through wet dreams or urine, and that there is nothing to worry about. But after doing some research, there are some articles that suggest that not masturbating enough can lead to the calcification of sperm/semen in the prostate gland, and that makes me worried :( This is an example of one (https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-health-effects-if-any-of-ceasing-to-masturbate) (OP's post is the main concern for me) For now I will continue to abstain from masturbation and especially pornography, although I really would appreciate some advice on whether or not abstaining from masturbation is unhealthy, because I'm real anxious about it.

According to Forbes, porn grosses 14 billion dollars per year. What are your thoughts on an economic system that allows and promotes such a destructive influence on individuals in society?

    I second that, excellent question.

Also an industry with enormous ties to organized crime, prostitution, sex slavery, and human trafficking.

Is it possible (and if so, how likely) that untreated porn addiction (which for the past 14 years has stayed just that) could turn into a fullblown sex addiction?

A little background info: I was always shy and reserved when younger. Then when I was in my early 20s I met my 1st girlfriend who is now my wife. Now that I have been working on my porn addiction (as well as other aspects of my life), it has crossed my mind that if it weren't for the commitment I made to my wife 3 years ago (one that I would never intentionally break) I could very easily see myself going down that dark road.

What is your experience with this?

For the record, this question is purely as an intellectual examination of myself. I like to know why I am feeling the way I am feeling and thinking the things I am thinking. I want to understand more about what is going on during this process.

Why do men (I) crave sexual relationships with women? How come women are not as addicted as men for sexuality in general?

Every time when I see a pretty girl, why do I lose peace of mind? Why do I feel the urge to approach and date her?
