Was wondering if rebooting is actually a thing?

Okay, i don't want to start off on the wrong foot, but I've been trying to reboot for a few years now and as of yet I've had little success and sometimes, when I'm failing over and over, I wonder if reboot is actually possible ?

So to make this question a bit clearer, I'm a bit confused:
    1. If MO are actually necessary for a person to undergo weekly, monthly or however much the body wants it to happen and if stopping it completely is even possible ?
    2. After reading a lot of conflicting reports and opinions about PMO addiction, and I'm starting to disbelieve that it's actually an addiction ? (Ive read and watched a lot of things regarding PMO and related addictions)
    3. Is it actually possible to completely stop P, M and O forever without negative repercussions, such as feeling sexually deprived?

So, I've literally been going back and forth from square one for a long time and I can't find a method to stop that works, and I've literally done everything (meditation, journals, finding the science behind it, accountability partners, 12 step programs, groups, progress reports and everything in between).

So don't take all this the wrong way, as I'm seriously not trying to offend anyone, I'm just confused and frustrated about my progress in getting rid of PMO.

So if anyone has any advice I'd absolutely love to hear it, as well as any practical methods of helping my reboot be more successful,

    Thanks soo much!
    Marcus:)

Ive successfully recovered from this addiction with only TWO STEPS kept in a disciplined way for 21 days

    EVERYDAY
    1)TRAIN YOUR MIND
Associate yourself with people who are positive.Do that which youre afraid to do.Learn a new skill. Dont let any negative thought or worry enter your mind..replace it with new thoughts..take a walk into the nature..read motivational books...your mind follows the law that ,it will return output (thoughts) according to the input u give...Avoid watching useless television shows ...Do only those things which empower you..
    2)TRAIN YOUR BODY
Exercise hard.100 Pushups a day ,100 situps a day ...do whatever you think was impossible earlier

When u start training your mind and body everyday and push it BEYOND YOUR LIMITS you will feel satisfied and youll be extremely happy in small wins.Do it in a DISCIPLINED(this is must,if u dont do what u ought to do ull get nothing) way everyday for 21 days.youll see amazing changes in your overall behaviour.

DONT FOCUS ON RECOVERING FROM PORN ...ULL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE IT ...BUT IF U KEEP FOCUSING ON IMPROVING URSELF EVERYDAY THROUGH SMALL WINS, A TIME WILL COME WHEN U WONT BE TEMPTED AT ALL AND IF TEMPTED, BY NOW YOU, WOULD HAVE DEVELOPED AMAZING WILLPOWER...

    Hello Marcus,
I say yes, rebooting is a thing, as well as PIED. If you have a group of young men who are not depressed (at least not severely), have normal or even high testosterone levels, fit bodies but can't get an erection without porn, there is nothing else to blame than porn and masturbation, because this is the only thing that rebooters had in common.
And since some men actually "recovered", I say recover because the porn addict does not damage or hurt his brain and body in any way, he simply changed the pathways in his brain so that videos give him erections instead of people, you know that rebooting is possible.

I can try to answer your questions but others might be better at it.
    1) MO is unnecessary. Some say you need get rid of the old semen but your body will do it on its own. You will either have a wet dream or urinate the semen, maybe even have it reabsorbed into your body to build cellular tissue.
    2) It fits all typical criteria, PMO brings cravings and even withdrawal symptoms. Besides, you can get addicted to anything, even eating rocks. It is more likely to get addicted to things that give you an immediate high, which PMO does.
    3) Yes, many great men in history were virgins like Isaac Newton or Nikola Tesla and many great thinkers were suspicious about masturbation and argued that it would make men weak. It is likely that these historical virgins didn't even mastubate for their entire lives.
Most rebooters want to get with women. It's your choice but sexual outlet is not needed and some geniuses even thought they were better off without any sex.

You can check out my signature, I included a link with my strategies, they might work for you. I'm in fact working on another one.
    Greetings!

    1. your body will start doing nocturnal emissions to get rid of excess fluids and cravings naturally.
    2. ABSOLUTELY it is an addiction. PMO overstimulates your sexual reward system. I mean completely hijacks it. The levels of dopamine achieved through PMO were not previously possible naturally. It is a complete addiction.
    3. yes, it is possible. there will be no negative repercussions. I have remained abstinent from any self inflicted sexual activity for months. It really allowed my body to repair all the damage I had caused it from so much abuse.
