After almost 40 days of no PMO, today i watched around 10-20 minutes of porn. I got hard and almost masturbated but i didnt. I just wanted to know what that means and how much of the progress has been hurt or how much of a set back this is?!

I would consider this a relapse most definitely

I will share my experience . It may vary to diffrent people but its valid for me . I did watch P (no M) on a long streaks years ago . It helped me by that time to increase my no MO streak . But i felt its a problem for my urges so i ditched it . I did relapse months later without P . After my O it was very easy for me to go back to old ways pmo ing ...so i consider O to be the biggest mistake. If i was you , i will try to not use P any more but i wouldnt count it as relapse. Best of luck!

20 minutes is pretty significant. Well done on not MO-ing tho, that shows progress.

People have different thresholds on what constitutes relapse, but unless you watched it by accident/someone forced you, this is a definite relapse.

I would say Yes, it's a relapse. 40 days of reboot are not enough.
Because your dopamine levels are high again. You have been stimulated visually.
All you have seen there has triggered you so wild…so take care with chaser effect.
I would say you has backed to 10 or 15 days of reboot.

Yes it's a relapse, but don't be afraid to reset the counter because its only a number.
The most important thing is that you did not M and this new streak will kinda stack, even with this relapse.

Last evening i watched a romantic movie with my wife called "two lovers and a bear".
This movie had 3 soft erotic love scenes in it, which i did not expect.
Although I enjoyed watching it and imagined myself in it, I did not get hard.

Note to self: try to avoid romantic movies for the next 3 months.

We all make our decisions as to whether we slip or not. You did well to not masturbate or orgasm. Certainly, don't tell yourself that you might as well completely give in to your lusts now. Make your own decision with the best part of yourself the best way to frame this to be most helpful to your recovery.

For me, the slipperiest thing for me is porn substitutes. I can't allow myself to make one decision in the direction of porn or porn substitutes.

I'd say that's a relapse. But don't think to yourself, "Well if that's a relapse then I should have just MO'd." The fact that you were able to abstain from MO while watching P is a huge step in the right direction and shows your progress, but the initial intentions mean you may need to work harder going forward. Try to identify what triggered you to watch P, then work on ways of remembering why you joined this movement when you feel stuck in that moment.
