Watching porn before date

This is a site for people struggling to give up pornography. What do you imagine we think of the idea of watching porn before a date?

 

Sorry, but no way Jose. If you're thinking about sex the whole time, you're gonna screw it up. Focus on your date, talk and listen, show interest in her and you'll be just fine.

Watching porn is what has bring us all to this forum, so I think suggestion to watch porn in any occasion is very poor suggestion.

What I'm suggesting instead of is sexting with your partner during the day. This puts both of you in right, relaxed and highly sexual (aka. Horny-as-teenager) mood, and for us porn addicts, it makes us fantasize and get aroused for our partner. Not some pixels on the screen.

But remember this is just my opinion...

 

I think it's the most stupid ridiculous thing in the world. Seriously.

Watching porn before a date lowers your drive to kill and go out. It's exactly the reason why many people fall back in old patterns and/or relapse.

That is what I think about it.

Serious?....Bad idea! Take her out... be yourself ( genuine self ) and most of all HAVE FUN! Oh and smile too...make her laugh.

 

As far as I know you should find the other person attractive. So when she is attractive you should get horny around her which means you do not need porn.
If you are not sexually attracted to her the relation wouldn't last long.
It's a pretty bad advice to watch it lol.

 

The whole point of not doing PMO or P at all is so that we can be normal around real people. IMO the only thing watching P will do for you before a date is
1. Cause you to relapse later
2. Cause you to objectify your date and/or be a total creep during the date because you're just thinking of sex
3. Create unrealistic expectations of what you want to happen (porn isn't real, remember?)

You just need to be real, be you. Don't try so hard to force something. If you're going on dates just for the purpose of having sex, maybe you aren't ready to go on dates anyways, because you're still just letting your porn brain take over, and focusing on sex.

You can go on a date and not have sex and still have a great time. I did that for 7 years with my girlfriend before I married her and we had a great relationship, and now we're married and it's getting better every day (not to sound cheesy). I'm only saying this so I can tell you one of the biggest causes of our relationship to flourish was me quitting PMO altogether. I'm only on day 48 and it's already that much better. Don't ruin it by putting yourself back into that filthy world. You're better than that, and your date deserves better than that too.
