We are Fapstronauts!

We have been victims of our urges before, brought low by moments of weakness, but now we are victims of an attack. If your streak or your relationship with your partner suffered because of Cute Hipster's actions then know that the thoughts of the community are with you and we wish you well and a speedy recovery. However know that this time unlike other slips in the past you were not to blame, the weakness in the moment may have been yours but you were caught off guard in a place where you normally go to be safe when you feel urges tempting you. You should be proud of your dedication and the progress you have made, and fear not this wonderful website will be safe once again thanks to champions like Alexander and his Moderator Knights lead by Sir Giggleshmack.

Our greatest strength rests in our comradery our ability to lift each other up when we are down and lean on each other when we need to. We are a family united by our hopes and dreams, and make no mistake one sad individual's malice and desire to bring us pain can not stop us or quell our yearning for a better life free of addition. So let us stand together shoulder to shoulder brothers and sisters husbands and wives partner and freinds. Because we are Fapstronauts, and this is our time our moment and nothing can stop us now.

 

I really hope that the last few days hardships will only serve to bring the community together and make us stronger in the battle against addiction.

 

Sorry did not mean any insult, all good, each to there own. Okay how about this for a title "We are . . ." um. . . basically looking for a word that means "People who were porn addicts but are trying to make a better life for them selves now" Only shorter and more catchy. Um maybe we could be "The Fellowship of Anti Porn", "The League of Extraordinary Ex-Masterbaters" "The Men and Women Who Do Not Stare at Porn Anymore!" "The SuperFrineds?" Um really just looking for a title that people can use to describe them selves that is more positive then "Former Porn addict." I am totally open to suggestions.

 

I like these ideas. The more creative the better.

 

From what I understand he posted a thread in the Success Stories section telling us how he made it to (I think) 50 or so days with no PMO by watching porn for 10 to 20 minutes every week to combat urges. He saw this as a helpful tip for people struggling and while it was not for everyone he encouraged people to give it a try if they thought it might help them. The Problem with this logic is that this is a website dedicated to helping people get free from porn and masturbation addiction. The viewing of porn being a thing that not only slows the rebooting process to a crawl but also breeds harmful ideas about sexuality. So in true all he was doing was desensitizing him self even more. However each to their own and he is welcome to do what he likes. Again the Problem was that as stated this was posted on a "porn addiction" recovery website and so allowing new members to see this so called advice when they are struggling with addiction and trying to rationalize a excuse to tempt themselves would be like telling an alcoholic that it is okay to go spend a day sitting in a bar every week. Basically it was the kind of well meaning advice that could have caused quite a few people to relapse if they did not know better. So his "Success Story" thread was taken down. From there he failed to see the harm that his well meaning attempt at advice was causing. He started arguing with people, there was much swearing. And after a few days he finally made a new thread giving the community the middle Finger and calling out the moderators to ban him after which he went on a campaign of harassment all over the forum until finally he got his ban. Alas it seems that he decided to go nuts and try to bomb the forum with porn.
