Weird pain "down there" (16 days semen retention so far)

EDIT: Right now it looks like I might actually have kidney stones. So that is unrelated to semen retention. So I don't want to feed the "semen retention is dangerous" thing in case anyone sees the title.

    Original post:

Hi everyone. For a little history I have done semen retention for 3 weeks multiple times, and once I got 60 days semen retention, without having this problem.

Now I get this shooting pain. it sometimes feels like it shoots up my urinary tract but other times it feels like it shoots up my rectum, or just somewhere in between "down there".

I ruled out kidney stone because I never peed one out.

My main thought is that it is due to prosrate pressure building up from semen retention... And that I need to ejaculate soon or it will continue to hurt... However I don't fully trust that because it could be psychosomatic or an attempt to make up a reason to fap, etc.

So has anyone experienced anything like what I described? And what did you do? Thanks.

    No....
If you have too much semen or prostatic fluids you will just piss them out, it happened to me.
I think you are obsessing over this issue.
If you do not feel like stopping masturbation for life don't do it because you will not be able to. This needs strong determination, sexual cravings are not easily manipulated and released. Life will tempt you again and again.
Once every 2 weeks is pretty much reasonable for a young person but of course it is always better to cultivate energy and abstain. Just make a conscious solid choice about it.

Please don't read my post the wrong way i don't encourage you to indulge just that if you are not commited to fully abstaining then reducing frequency and quitting porn is already a strong and valid step

  4. There is no way that semen retention for a couple of weeks would cause pain. Even if it did, it would not do so in your urethra or rectum. I suggest you go to your general doctor or urology consultant for an explanation, but it is not NoFap!

Have you considered infection, std, chlamydia?

I don't see where std would come from since I haven't been sexually active. Infection didn't seem likely because I haven't exposed myself to anything particularly infectious. And I consistely eat healthy, go for walks, drink plenty of water.

So far I haven't got the pain today. Not since the middle of the night last night (it woke me up!) so... maybe its on the way out...

No, I don't think it was kidney stones, because nothing came out when I actually urinated. it was more like a shooting pain in that area. Does that rule it out from being kidney stones? I hope so.

I'm sorry you have them. my Dad's friend has them really bad. What is it like for you to have them? (if you want to say)

actually urinating kidney stones is one of the most painful experience by human beings......you can even check it on wikipedi ...kidney stones originates from lower back region on both sides..its like that something is exerting pressure
i dont think you have them
my kidney stones are thankfully quite small i.e 4.5 and 2.7 mm .........

Im so sorry to hear that :( How often do you get them? And what kind of lower back pressure creates them?

I think I knew a girl in HS who had them. She sat near me in class. I think she mentioned it once.

I remember when I was getting this shooting pain... I was so afraid that I would have to pee one out. It felt like what I imagined a kidney stone would be... But when I went to pee, nothing came out.EDIT I mean pee came out but no solid objects

see....there are number of factors which lead to kidney stones formation..........major one is dehydration......and less physical excercise......
and this disease is more common in men.....pain is like someone is stabbing inside you......sometimes you feel that you are about to vomit.....my pain generally resurfaces during night........but i am taking homopatheic medicenes and i also drinking lemonade daily........
i recommend you to see a doctor or go through an ultrasound.........dont delay this........kidneys are very important....
and stone is very hard .......you can google its image

yeah my dads friend said it was dehydration. his friend always drank lots of tea but no water. i drink over a gallon of water a day. so my dad said it shouldn't be any problem. i go for a walk every day... but other than that I am kinda sedentary.

So your kidney stones cause you pain even when you don't pee? hm... that sounds like what I had. Where is the pain? I felt a shooting pain right up my urinary tract as well as in other areas as stated but never had anything have to come out.

    how old are you?

i am feeling so much fear right now.

well i used to drink three glass of tea..........per day..........so thats too much...........now i have reduced it to one
tea and coffee dehydrates our body...........every doctor has advised me to drink a lot of water.......and i am sedentary personified...........yes i am infamous for not going outside and killing my time in room........so i started morning walks and yoga for 30 minutes
    images.jpg
this is origin of pain.........but if stone travels in urinary tract then its hard to tell the real cause of pain
for a long time i have not experienced pain thank god
i am 23 and its been 9 months since i was diagnosed with it

gotcha. it looks like it can be all over the place in the abdomen. so its been a while since you got the pain? thats good. it sounds like at least its not a daily thing. My last pain was like 35 hours ago.

even if they diagnose me, is there any treatment, besides just drink water, get exercise, etc?

I think what might have caused it, if its true, would be my protein intake. over 100g a day since i was like 14. A lot of times over 150g. Also recently I took choline bitartrate which contains a salt (bitartrate) so maybe that built up into a kidney stone...

I am definiely in a denial phase if it is the case!!! did you ever try visualizing a stone in your mind and then dissolving it? maybe metaphysics could help :D

i think its around months since last pain...........
there is plenty of treatment.........i will suggest you to google it
calcium is the main cause of stones...........and yes too much protein without any physical activities can also cause it
i eat a lot of paneer(cheese).......and now i have quit milk........
i have heard that it is like a stone chip.....its so hard that even hammer is not able to break it

Interesting. Calcium. I'm vegan so I supplemented with a calcium-magnesium-zinc pill. I accidentally took 1.5x the recommended dosage for a little while...

Maybe I will cut back on the protein. Especially since I am not doing intense bodybuilding anymore just going for walks.

I will look more into the kidney stone thing... Dang. I feel like I am in bargaining/denial stage.

Thanks for all your help. I will try to keep a mental count of how long its been since my last pain.

Crap. Calcium supplements actually CAN cause it. Where as dietary calcium can't. Also i have been eating 10-15 OZ spinach a day for YEARS. Like 2-3 years actually. FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUU

Maybe I should just water fast for the rest of my life.

    spinach..........
doctors advised me to not eat it.........
of all the meals spinach was the most common used by different doctors...........so its like the cultivator of kidney stones

ok well it looks like i can replace it with kale, which has a much lower level of oxalate. I have been eating LOTS of spinach and nuts for YEARS... holy moly. Well, okay, that makes it easy... Stop eating those!

My pea protein powder isn't causing it.

IDK what to do about calcium now... being that I have no dairy. But the calcium supplements gotta go.

Maybe I am just catching this before it gets out of hand. 10oz of spinach is... 2400mg oxalate. 4oz of peanuts is... 600mg oxalate.

    My mind is pretty blown.
