I’ve noticed a lot of people on here seem to want to be free of M and O. I’m on here because I want to abstain from P indefinitely and I think that a 90 day reboot would go a long way towards that goal.

Why abstain from M if you rid yourself of P?
Why avoid O?

M and O reactivate the addiction pathways in the brain that keep you addicted to P. Your brain still gets a shot of dopamine from the M and O, and it will remember that it's even more intense if you have P too. Those pathways will take a long time to shrink and fade away, or they might not fade away at all if you are still beating your bird frequently.

Let's not forget that it's not just the P that a lot of us are addicted to, but the surge of dopamine from the M and O too. If you want to properly reboot your brain, it has to be done while abstaining from M and O.

Almost all men i know, are slaves to pleasure.
Pleasure dependency hinders self reliance.

For me I broke my longest streak because I believed MO was horrible and I couldn't get a release at all. But then I eventually slip back into PMO. I have come to realize its better to MO then to edge or watch porn and PMO

That would be me. I've been P-free close to 2 years now and I've discovered that viewing P is a symptom of another problem, which is M. Getting rid of P was not hard once I realized MO is what the body craves and so I changed my focus on quitting MO. For me, P is merely a trigger for something else and is not the reward itself--it just exacerbates the MO cravings or it induces them. If all I cared about was being P-free, then I am wasting my time because I've accomplished that goal a long time ago. However, I still have PIED so overcoming my P habit was clearly not enough.

The indefinite cycle continues. My goal here is to break that cycle of negative dependency.

If you question that you shall obstain from P but keep doing the M and the O.

My question would be, why?
M is not only the works of physical needs. It is a byproduct of sexual fantasies that is produced by the mind. And the mind heeds limitless supply of fantasies. That is why somehow M could also lead to P somehow.
 
Actually i think that masterbation without porn is nonsense I mean that so why a human being should play with him self in order to reach orgasm? Why?
Sexual is need and the healthy, correct,natural way of meeting this need is sex...
Also consider that there are some condition for M O :
1. Masterbating to porn that is an addiction and one of the most harmful and unhealthy action
2. Masterbating to psub or softcore porn or stuffs that are not real porn but contains sexual contetns and stimulate you in worng way and its some how the same as pmo maybe with lower impact
3. Masterbating to imagination and Fantszing : first of all if you're goal is being recoverd and normal like befor pmo addiction obviously you have to avoid this doubtless, But after reaching your recovery if you do M O you will make the porn memories alive again and those pathway are likely to be remade and also defiantly after short term those Fantszings will be come more and more null and you need to feed your brain by psub and some sexiness images for example and then gradually you have to go back to using porn and then addiction and the same story and cycle...

So my friend believe it or not there is no healthy masterbation at all and there is no reason to doing that...
Only natural and good way of reaching orgasm is just sex...

One can still be addicted to M even if not to P. It’s like a milder form of P addiction. It messes with your dopamine system if done too frequently. It’s also a way of relieving stress and escapism, meaning it has the potential to be addictive.
 
Imho there is nothing inherently wrong nor right about almost everything.
You should be able to try out things for yourself and see if they work for whatever you feel is right for you and serves your personal goals.
That being said, a complete PMO reboot definitely has its benefits and is worth trying out.
I've been there and realized that in combination with the drug addiction, it can be detrimental for me(!) to build up so much sexual tension(I know there are people here able to channel that and transform it for their benefit - thats impressive and a worthy achievement, but not for me atm) .
I'm still reducing the times I MO to a bare minimum and know that I'm able to undercut the limits I set myself pretty well while abstaining from P.
I think its about setting priorities and strategically figuring out what works for you to get where you want.

I avoid M because I want to have sex with woman. If I wasted my sex energy on M, than why get the real thing? And when u have the real thing, why waste ur energy on M?

With O its a different beast because it totally wastes your sex energy and drains me for weeks. I feel huge benefits of sement retention.

So for me, only sex with a woman and no ejaculation while doing so. And believe me, I can fck my brains off and hers as well even without a O. Maybe even more so, because when u O your drive is OVER for quite some time.
. There is no over, if I dont O....
 
I agree with ascetic approach to sex. It sounds a bit scary, but it’s not. I used to M like 7 times a day and I was in a black hole. Although I am always good at school but later many problems appeared in my life. I guess it’s not accurate to blame everything on M, but I did notice improvement in life during my sporadic attempt at no PMO. Now I am on a long streak and I could feel the healing. It’s hard man. As sex is a real human need and it needs a way out. Maybe no PMO is just an attempt at saving today for tomorrow, in this case, it’s saving M for better sex with your loved one.
