What’s your opinion on music with sexual content during recovery?

Potential TRIGGERS if you have problems with sex described in music.

I’m rather new to this forum, so this may already have been discussed earlier. But, I’d love to hear what you guys have to say on this topic.

To be straightforward: I have noticed just how much sexual content music actually contains. I listen quite a lot to Maroon 5 and many of their songs implicitly, and some explicitly, describe sex. Another example, although I don’t listen to his music in any extent, is Flo Rida and the song “Blow my whistle” which very decisively instructs how a blow job is best performed.

Please don’t judge me for my taste in music.

My question to all of you: is this problematic to you? Is hearing a song with sex something that initiates an urge to watch porn, a trigger of sorts? Is just hearing a sexual song cause for a reset?

This is not true for me, but I must admit that hearing songs with sexual groans can get me turned on, and I would most likely turn them off. Risky exposure, but not enough to justify a reset. For me, at least.

    I agree,

I had to give up rap music and the videos. Major Triggers.
