Is it allowed to advertise if you put things in Spoiler:Advertising? Will you ever be accepting advertising?

  3. It seems like they're pretty strict about it, from what I understand. I'm doing a fundraiser soon by selling a book of mine and donating the proceeds to the fires in California, and I asked if I would be allowed to post about that here, and they said no. Which I'm fine with, but it does seem a little strict, since it's for a good cause. But I get why they don't want to start that snowball effect.

their website wasn't optimized for ages. They will hopefully and then advertise on it in exchange of money. Cus it's a very good niche in combatting porn addiction. I might become some coach one day :)

  5. Hello AChosenPeople,

Advertising on the forums in whatever form is stricly prohibited. We restrict advertising and self-promotion to give users space to talk about the issues they are struggling with, and to connect with people who may be able to help them with their issues. If we allowed indiscriminate advertising, the forums would quickly devolve into marketing platform for anyone with a blog, vlog, website or other initiative to promote, and the quality of discussion would quickly deteriorate. So to maintain a high quality of discussion on the forums about the issues that are important in people's rebooting journeys, and to keep the forums a productive place conducive to quitting porn, we restrict advertising and self-promotion to prevent people from derailing the conversation. The NoFap forums wouldn't be half as effective as an accountability and recovery tool if we allowed advertising and self-promotion

Hope you are having a good say, and the best of luck on your reboot!
