This thread is not about abortion. I don't eat babies of any species though, if you ask me that.

We're talking about not eating animals, not the Middle East. People should not kill living beings, including humans and animals
In the end you are compromising your own health and everyone has a right to do what they want to themselves I guess (but eating others is affecting their life as well). I know that I want to reduce harming living beings as much as possible, and I want to reduce my risk for heart disease/cancer/chronic conditions. I don't want to end up on prescription medications that people with chronic conditions have to take basically for the rest of their lives. People aren't living longer, they're dying longer nowadays and it's because of our food. Why compromise your health if you don't have to. Again, it comes down to taste over life/health.

I do agree with you that extremism with violence is wrong and I do appreciate your arguments @Manchild ;)o_O:)

  2. You didn’t answer the abortion question

  3. The reason I bring up wider views is because when you bring up vegan activism you have to bring up the bigger picture, because it impacts so much more than western privalidge

Again, this thread/forum topic is about eating animals. When I asked you a question, you didn't answer it either and I respect that. I don't want you to answer it if you're not comfortable. I'm just sticking to the forum topic. Below was my previous question:

  5. I was vege for decades and vegan for a few years
I was displaying characteristics of adhd/bipolar
And I felt fatigue, I went to a nutritionist, he put me on tons of supplements
Including taurine, l-tyrosine, vegan cod liver oil, magnesium, and lots more
We went through nearly a year swapping and changing with no luck
He suggested grass fed beef and wild Alaskan caught fish (I still hate the taste of fish)
Within a couple of months I felt a hell of a lot better,
I now have enough energy to goto the gym and do yoga regularly

I’m not suggesting that this would be the same for everyone, ie need to give up being a vegan, I’m just saying everyone’s different

The reason I brought up other subjects is because the convo evolved naturally into a discussion about opposing views

Ok ur turn to answer the question

(edit), the reason I brought up abortion is because it’s about personal choice, a woman has the right to choose to either way, often abortion is about harm reduction on her own life
Very similar to my dilemma regarding mental health, believe me I was heavily into veganism, but I had to choose my own life

(i can send you the extensive list of supplements if you like, I just had a look after a year , there’s about 30 different ones )

Were you taking B12??? Also, not sure how cod liver oil is vegan.
I'm glad you tried it at least, but maybe you were missing something essential because you weren't doing something right? Who knows. Also, on a well balanced vegan diet you should be getting most of your vitamins that way, in fact vegans are getting much more nutrients than others a Standard American Diet (SAD).

I'll answer your question Manchild, because I like our respectful/civilized argument/discussion and now I like you more too because this didn't descend into chaos :D

I think abortion is a woman's choice. For example, if I were a woman and I was raped, I think I should have the right to terminate. This is gonna bring a lot of controversy, but that's my belief, everyone is entitled to their own belief. Like you said sometimes the mother's health is more important than the child's and it's all about reducing harm. I don't really wish to argue this point any further though (but I'm sure someone out there will try, Manchild you better back me up, haha), I'm here to wake people up from the ignorance of the dairy/meat industries and even the pharmaceutical industries. They're gonna be watching me now...wish me luck :p

Also @Manchild, what did your doctor specifically say was wrong with you? Did he/she check any lab tests, did anything come back abnormal? Thanks

  8. That’s what I find frustrating is vegans think you were doing something wrong if you get ill from a vegan diet, trust me I did everything I could. Its kind of patronising at my age. It’s a bit like some people are gluten intolerant, also soy makes me really sick, my stomach bloated so much once I went to A and E, I stopped soy about 3 years into vege.
Had all my tests done, low iron, low test, but a lot of mine was mental health due to inflammmation, so the only way through nutrition is to try and test over long periods, and that’s what led me to start eating meat again, and after a decade of feeling ill it finally stopped
The brand of vegan omega 3 fish oil.... it’s called non fish vegan fish oil, weird name is from DEVA, but it was explained to me by the nutritionist is that some people won’t process non meat omega 3 properly from other sources like you mentioned
(edit) I think you’re going to have to accept that some people don’t do well on a vegan diet, and yes, again, I was doing everything ‘right’
(edit) yes I was taking b12, you think after 2 decades I wouldn’t?, my supplement drawer turned into a walk in cupboard, with raw powder forms that I would cap myself , I even got a massive pill box with days of the week

  9. You should be ‘here’ to sort your pmo addiction and help others
People have enough shame on this site as it is

I'm glad you figured it out, but you must have been missing something. If you had low iron, you weren't having enough greens maybe? Low testosterone is not from a vegan diet. Mental health is another issue, not sure how you concluded it's from inflammation though.
Yes, some people do not process omega-3s as efficiently so they need more of those ALA sources than normal in order to convert to omega-3, but that could have been fixed with Algae DHA oil.
I do accept that very few people don't do well on certain diets and everyone is different and they need to find what's good for them. I also accept that the vast majority of people will do excellent on a vegan diet.
Maybe part of the problem was that you're on too many supplements and instead should have been focusing on whole foods instead of a bunch of massive doses of vitamins/supplements?

I am 'here' for my PMO addiction and to help others, that's my primary reason for being on this site. I am on this forum that I found interesting though because it's part of the off-topic discussions. Are you trying to shame me Manchild?

I'm interested in the supplements you were taking, may you share on here? If it's too much to share, I understand, I wouldn't want to type out all that stuff either.

Woah, woah woah!!!! Let's slow down a bit here! This thread is about what animals you want to eat, not killing human fetuses!

Now that we're on the topic, anyone ever had fish eggs (caviar)? I am but a humble man of limited resources, but I have to admit, I'm curious.

The OP (me) made the poll as a joke, a bit of light hearted humor on a board where folks try not to jack off. That's why there is a robot option.

The real question is, what does grilled Palestinian donkey taste like? I bet it's horrible.

I bet you can get a decent taco bowl at the US embassy in Jerusalem though.

I always thought that humans eating meat was one of the reasons we aren't still swinging from the trees. Being able to use tools to break bones to get at bone marrow = big brains.

  16. Again..... I did everything right, I spent a lot of money and time working it out
I don’t understand why you won’t accept that
I’ve already said I think you are right in what you are doing
Maybe you should do more research into testosterone and inflammation of the brain that causes mental illness yourself
There’s really nothing more I can say

Yes, I appreciate that you accept that I'm right, I'm just a curious person and I'm trying to figure out why it didn't work out for you. I'm a scientist, so maybe I can help. Did some research and it seems like chronic inflammation can cause low testosterone and something called iron deficiency of chronic disease. A vegan diet is very anti-inflammatory, so not sure what was causing your chronic inflammation. Why did you say chronic inflammation of the brain? Did you have an infection in your brain or something like meningitis?

I know, but still, you made the vegans the worse of all the options and made it very unpalatable to choose that option. At least make it lighthearted/positive like the others :D
I love the robot option :p:)

  19. Your constant questioning and reluctance to accept what I say comes across aggressive
I’m very well educated and went to one of the best therapeutic centres in the world to see a specialist for years (the hale clinic) in London
Again, I accept what you do, and I ask you to do the same, a vegan diet did not suit me, and since I’ve stopped I feel a lot better
If you’re ever in London message me, I will gladly meet you and explain the 25 year journey I had in more detail, tying to justify online that much info is way to difficult

OK, I'll back off Manchild, no problem, my apologies if I came off aggressive, that was not my intention. Believe it or not, I enjoyed our conversation and I was honestly just trying to figure out your case. Take care
