For every podcast, you could write in a format like this,

    1) Name of the Podcast

    2) Why do you like it

    3) What do you think is the best episode that you've listened to of it

Again, not a rule. But it would be fun.

  2. Here's some podcasts I like. For most of them I vcan't remember the names of the actual episodes but I'll describe them.

    This American Life

If I had to recommend one podcast it would be this. When I first listened to it I was like WTF because their style is rather unique. But after a few listens I was in love with it. The podcast has some fascinating factual stories. Such stories include one about an African-American student who got his whole college to believe he was from Uganda, another one about a man who marries the daughter of his Dad's ex girlfriend, one of the most fascinating is the one about an actress who gets kidnapped to make movies with her husband in North Korea. I should add I'm not American but I love this show.

    S-Town
From the makers of This American Life comes a one off podcast series about a murder that have may have or have not happened, and buried treasure. Very interesting, at times rather sad and somewhat disturbing. By the end of it I was thankful for being alive and wanting to make the most of my life.

    The Why Factor
A BBC podcast that asks why do we do certain things. Episodes include why we drink coffee, why do women wear high heels, why do we support sports teams, why do we swear.

    Science VS
Puts fads, trends and opinions to the test by scientifically examine them. The first season was produced by ABC (Australia) and is separate from and season 2 & 3 (since it's produced by Gimlet). Season 1 has some interesting an episode where they look porn addiction (trigger warning) and the last episode looks at scientific experiments and ask if they can be trusted. But really all episodes from all seasons are very engaging.

    Longford
In Longform they interview journalists. They talk about how they got started and what it's like to be a journalist. The stand out episodes I've listened to so far are the interviews with Malcolm Gladwell, Rukmini Callimachi and Sarah Maslin Nir. This podcast really restored my faith in journalism. I know journalist come under a lot of attacks nowadays but I think this podcast proves that there are a number who have integrity and work really hard to report facts.

    Planet Money
Financial related stories are reported here. Highlights include the story about the law student who took on Facebook and the man who sued Iran.

    Sporting Witness
A short podcast that looks back at historical sport stories through out the world. One of highlights is an episode about a football (soccer) game between Uganda and Rwanda. One of teams was scared of scoring a goal because they thought the goalkeeper was using witchcraft. Lol!

    Heart and Soul
Looks at religions. An interesting episode was about gay Jews and Muslims and how they can live out their sexuality while still practicing their religion. Another good episode is about a former rapper who kills someone, doesn't gets caught but because of his Catholic faith he hands himself into to the police.

    Unbelievable
Another interesting podcast on the subject of religion and faith. Majority of the episodes are debates/discussions are between atheists and Christians. But there's also programmes where inner theological matters are debated by Christians as well debates between Christians and people of other religions. While the presenter is a Christian he is impartial and challenges Christians as well as non Christians. Even though guests strongly disagree with each other there's respect shown. I can only think of two episodes where those debating resorted to name calling or being rude to each other. Personally I've had my mind changed on some issues due to some of the debates. I think any episode with Bart Ehrman is worth listening to. Also the discussion between the ex Christian (Vanessa James) and ex atheist (Holly Ordway) is a good listen.
