What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

Even though you may not have a significant other right now that doesn't mean that you can't celebrate love. Why not try spending the day doing things that let the other people in your life know you care about them? This is something we don't do enough. People might say that Valentine's Day is stupid, but the fact is, holidays are really good reminders for us. Spend all the love that you've been saving for that special person and pour it out on others, don't hold it back. You'll find that doing things for others is a great way to get your mind off of yourself and your problems.

Well on a practical note there are at least 4 types of gifts:

1. Gifts you're supposed to/expected to give via social expectation (flowers and chocolate)
2. Gifts you're supposed to/expected to give - the person told you they want that (best scenario "you remembered")
   
3. Gifts not expected but are pleasantly surprised by because it shows you know the person well and gave it good thought
4. Gag gifts

Notice with 3 and 4 the reaction can be positive or negative, but potentially positive because it shows (3) you really know the person or (4) made them laugh.

 

I'm going to college, then I will go to swim, like all Wednesdays, and later I will buy a rose to myself because I'm tired of waiting for someone to give me roses, and later I have an appointment with my dentist xD

 

Do you only wash your socks on valentines day :O?

I'm thinking I want to do something to show love to others. I have no GF and VD has always been a big stumbling block for me, but it should be a day of showing love to all and I want to cheer up the people who I know feel like me on VD. I just have no ideas of what to do currently!

Truth be told, I’ve always been single for Valentine’s Day and I’m not sure if that’s sad or I just haven’t found the right person to share that day with yet.

Never cared about Valentine's Day. And probably never will. Was fortunate enough to also have an ex-girlfriend who did not care about it. Been single since that breakup so it's become even more irrelevant since then.

 

I'll probably just cry like a bitch when everything passes.

Like any other day.
