What are your reasons for doing NoFap?

Clear mind, more energy, better focus, motivation to look for a relationship

 

To stop being oppressed by sex-obsessed media and take back control of my urges and sexual dignity.

 

I believe in God and I can't claim to be christian and engage in sexual immorality. I'm disgusted by this sex obsessed mindset encourage by society I want to be completely free from it. I want better health and more energy to devote towards things that will improve my life. I also want to be free from all forms of addiction.

 

masturbation isn't moral, it isn't healthy either mentally or physically, Im tired of hiding it from people, and Im tired of being ruled by it and feeling awful about it.

to live in the real world, not sort of zoning out in between chances to masturbate, if you know what I mean

I want to face my anxiety and stop hiding from it by using masturbation as a quick fix. I want to conquer my addiction and fears and be done with them both.

 

I started on a whim because I thought read/saw a lot of the "amazing NoFap benefits" such as increased confidence and female attraction and foolishly thought it would help me win over a crush.

After the first relapse there was a second streak and another relapse and I realized how backwards I had it but that didn't stop me from fuelling my third attempt with another crush, which hasn't gone well, and it took a long time for the penny to drop; I'm doing this for ME.

 

Get stronger, get a better life, do what I missed in the past, build confidence, get true friends.

All in all: I want to change myself into a better man.

 

To improve myself and improve my own relationship,
I've seen that my testerone increased these days and my thoughts are getting more clear.

Yet I've seen that it really doesn't change my strength at all, as I've been strong and training with
all of it before.

 

I don't want to be a slave to anything.

 

Help to live in present mind so I am able to complete my responsibilities.

Ironically when i use to abstain for a few days i did it to get hornier for a night of planned sex...not because of any of the reason mentioned here.
Got to admit its harder then i thought it would be to quit.

To be free from addictions, cure PIED and feel real when I get a GF...

 

I realised I don't want to keep that addiction until I die. I didn't want to have a secret side i wouldn't tell anyone.
But most importantly: I want to become a better person and live a happier life.

 

To help myself beat social anxiety so I can achieve all my goals. Social anxiety has held me back from so much and watching porn has not helped at all. I want to force myself to feel the feelings that I try to escape from and hopefully that will push me to leave my comfort zone.

I believe that God wants me to abstain from pornography and masturbation. Another reason is that I'm tired of being overcome with sexual desire. The more a man masturbates, the more his body will crave sex, so if you feel temptation and you masturbate, it will only make matters worse. Another reason is that I believe that pornography objectifies women and men.
