Let's start with a quote by Zen monk and teacher Shunryū Suzuki:

"Sex is like brushing your teeth.
It is good to do it regularly,
it is bad when doing it all the time."

Multiple choices are possible and encouraged for the poll below.

I like this quote. Sex is good, definitely important for bonding. This is what distincts a marriage from roommates. Two becoming one flesh in a pleasurable, caring display of mutual love and affection. It's when it is abused and used outside of its original function when it becomes a problem. Similarly, alcohol is not inherently evil either. Things are demonized in society not out of puritanical pursuits (sometimes but rarely), but rather as a reaction to how people have abused these otherwise healthy and normal parts of life. We need to understand how and where certain things fit in our lives. Just how hard work is important, but working too much isn't healthy. Is that to say now, don't work at all? No, rather, do it in moderation. Or like this quote, if you always brushed your teeth constantly, your gums would bleed. Life is about balance. Thank you for sharing

This was a good post. I have always had an extreme personality -- I am learning how to balance everything in my life.
