What do you demons manifest as in your dreams?

I have had tornado nightmares for most of my life. I always thought it was a loss of control due to pretty rough family circumstances. In the last 4 years my life has seen marked stability that I've never had before, and the tornado dreams have gone away in the last 2.

I have dreams where I smoke cigarettes. Funny enough, I don't have dreams about porn. Maybe they'll come later down the line, I've only been sober from P for 3 months. The cigarette dreams are pretty scary though because I'm 4 years clean and I don't crave or think about them, I'm aware that often even when addicts are "free" if they have one, they often become re-addicted. So the dreams play on that.

I am the demon in my dreams.

 

When I was a kid I looked at the pictures in this book called something like "scary stories to tell at night in the dark" and one picture in particular gave me the worst nightmares I'd ever had. I'm not sure why, I'm a fairly big guy and I don't think of myself as a wuss but this one creeped me the heck out.

When I was a kid, it was clowns. As an adult it's freaky women with vague/shifting features.

No kidding, I think being a storm chaser sounds like a cool job.

I usually like to have demons in my dreams, they usually have a human/demon like mix, sometimes also dragons or big gigantic forms. I like to create or search for them so they try to kill me.

This is a practice of dream yoga where you try to be killed, this is the destruction of the ego. After this the dream becomes all dark this is called sleep yoga or yoga nidra.

I also like to create tornados, tsunamis, rain made of fire in my dreams and die that way.

One of my favorite subjects is death. And violent death specially is something I want to be ready if it happens. To have a lucid mind if I die all of the sudden. Dreams are a great way to practice.

 

Brah you can create any tornado you want everyday in your dreams, you just have to stop beating your meat. That is the price to pay to be a tornado bender
