What does it mean to rely on God?

Certainly, we could never earn our way to heaven. It is only by Christ's sacrifice that the gates of heaven were opened. The only difference between a sinner and a saint is their attitude towards their sins. The sinner persists without inhibition, the saint loathes his sins and never gives up trying to avoid them.
