What exactly do you consider "ED"?

    Hello, fellow fapstronauts!

2 words about myself just to make clear what I'm talking about. I'm 21, currently somewhere on day 100 of my NoFap journey (I deliberatly stopped counting), I have ED, which has weakened, but did not dissapear completely.

My question is. What exactly do you consider "ED"? I'll explain that. We all know that test to find out if your ED is porn-induced or has a medical background. Try to get an erection to porn and one to your touch only. But my point is, is it actually normal NOT to get an erection? Imagine a totally asexual situation. Dunno. Going shopping or visiting a restoraunt. You see women there, not hot, not ugly, average, you know what I'm talking about. They don't attract you in a sexual way. Now my point is. I know it's a matter of fantasy, but I can't get an erection while looking at these girls/women. Even if I imagine them in ways that would seem attractive to my old-porn-self (I have a pantyhose fetish). Now this is what bugs me, and I can't seem to find an answer to this question, even though I did a lot of research. Is this inability to get an erection a sign of my unbeaten ED or is it actually normal not being able to get an erection just out of the blue? I'd really appreciate to hear the opinions of the more "experienced" fapstronauts, who probably know a lot more than me, and maybe had similiar thoughts.

Little off-topic. Great site, great idea! I've been periodically lurking around here and the ideas and stories I've read already helped me in my life. Thanks for that :)

I can't speak to what is normal for ED because I never had it. But for me an erection only ever occured when I'm thinking "I want to have sex NOW" and not simply because I see someone attractive.

I'd have to second it. I'd say ED is the inability to get and maintain a full erection immediately before, during, and after sex (with a real partner not your hand). I know mine consisted of only going half mast most of the time. Or if conditions weren't just right, I'd go from full on to half. Position changes, inability to give up control...etc. If you're with a partner it should be full blown from foreplay to finish. Anything less is ED to some degree.

As far as erections outside of the bedroom, I wouldn't really pay attention to them or their quality. Focusing too much on 'does it work' can only lead to an increase in performance anxiety. From everything I've read...if you've gone through a full reboot it should work unless A). You have performance anxiety and need to relax or B) you are getting older and there are other issues [high blood pressure, obesity, low-T etc]. Hope this helps!

I'll also add that a sign or impending ED is delayed ejaculation or DE. I delt with that for years. I never had the ability to get to O without doing it myself on the end. Eventually, ED kicked in and now I'm rebooting which by all accounts should improve both symptoms.

Correction above...I didn't mean to say 'after sex'. Just before and during :)
