What fills the gap left when porn goes?

When I feel like killing time by browsing porn, I often come to this forum instead. Just wondering what others do to fill the time. Generally I am too exhausted to do anything too demanding (like reading a book), so it needs to be a light activity.

I usually "fill the void" withc watching videos from all 3 Vsauce channels on YouTube. Or i play games or listen to music. Im learning French from an app callrd Duolingo. The thing that i least do is exercise and i started doing 100 squads a day. People fill their time or the as some say 'the void' with anything except porn.

This is the hardest part of the reboot for sure. I've used porn to fill the empty gap in my life for so long. Now that I don't use it I feel desperate to find something else. I fear just replacing it with another addiction is what might happen.

I know well your difficulties, but I'm sure that replacing PMO with another addiction is not good. Let's do something creative in your life! Painting, music, writing, and don't you hide from people! Look for some activities to do in a group! It's hard, but it is possible! And remember that if you let yourself go into urges, your recover will be longer.

I was wasting anywhere from 1.5-4 hours per day on porn.

When I’ve been clean, there’s been more time for all the other things that I enjoy in life.

One thing that I do to spend time is come to the nofap forums. It also helps with my own recovery

I noticed that after abstaining from PMO I started to spend much more time browsing car/real estate classifields, also Google Streetview. I think this has something to do with the lack of 'novelty effect' that was one of the main reasons for my porn addiction. Sometimes I browse classifields so vigorously, that it's even getting funny, I probably try to alter my low dopamine levels this way.

And btw, reading books helps a lot with depression, but it must be easy literature, science fiction works well for me.

For me, I have several things in place. I am learning Spanish, I am re-learning the bass guitar, I exercise, I read and, when needed, spend time with friends
